Yes. The | symbol can cause a number of issues when used in the various fields of a book record on Goodreads.

That's a nice cover, but it seems more like a graphic design element than formal punctuation.

Goodreads frequently formats book titles differently than the official copyright page and/or Amazon and other sales sites. Series names, descriptions as subtitles, and many other title elements have specific policies here.
