Hi everyone, I'm now looking for beta readers for my 80k Adult Sci-Fi novel Human Instinct. I'd describe it as 'accessible' sci-fi (i.e. it's not set super far into the future and it's set on Earth) so you don't have to be a die-hard sci-fi fan to enjoy it. I am ideally looking for readers who can commit to one chapter a week, starting the first week of May. Here's a brief summary:
‘Her love is real. She isn’t.’
Arieanna looks like any other 25 year old, but she is the world’s first ‘perfect’ android, complete with human thoughts and emotions. Her purpose: To be whatever the humans want or need her to be. But when she experiences heartbreak for the first time and subsequently attacks Ashur, the very man who created her, she has no choice but to escape - or face being switched off.
Thrust into the outside world, she finds herself being hunted by Ashur, the police and even the army. Things seem bleak until she meets a criminal and his spunky eleven-year-old who offer to help her, and she thinks she's finally on route to her new life. However, she quickly learns that Ashur will stop at nothing to destroy her, and everything she has grown to care for.
Now she must decide if her found friendship is worth sacrificing her freedom for, and she must discover what her true purpose really is.
