Well, Bascom Lamar Lunsford… I am so enjoying rereading this book! (May just do that with all of them, while waiting for First Frost!)
Bascom Lamar Lunsford was the man who founded the Mountain Dance and Folk Festival in Asheville, N.C. Supposedly it's the longest running folk festival in the nation. Bascom was known as the Minstrel of the Appalachians.
