AliciaJ | 1873 comments So my home state is California. I’m going to read a book set in Trio’s home state, New York.

message 202: by Trio (new)

Trio | 2846 comments it looks like Barbara is in Ohio - so I can pick either California or Ohio, right?

Unfortunately, the Q&A thread says we all have to pick the same State. So either California, Ohio or New York.

Looks like Aliciaj has chosen New York. I can read NY, Can you Trio?

I'm off to bed but if you ladies decide on another state, that's fine I can find a book for any of them.

AliciaJ | 1873 comments Ok, thanks Barbara. I thought we each picked a state of one of our teammates. I’m good with anything really, I just picked New York cuz I have more books set there than Ohio. But if anyone wants to read one of the other states, that’s totally fine. What do you think Trio?

MountainKat | 32191 comments FYI for the future - in your qualification, I need to know how you know your book qualifies. Just saying 'set in NY' isn't enough - I need to know if it is in the book details, tagged, on a list, in the precis. Basically, I need to know where to look to confirm your book. 😊

Just FYI - for this challenge, and I believe every challenge in RRRC but definitely all the team challenges, books have to be started after the challenge, task, theme, month or whatever begins.

I am overlooking this and not doing the math, but wanted to make sure you all knew going forward.

And Trio - four?! That's awesome!

MountainKat | 32191 comments Here is your next task:

31. Read 4 3 books written by a male author.

Provide a link to the author page in you completion post.

message 230: by Trio (new)

I appreciate that but.....
Yesterday was my day off and I read three books. This one was started at 9:30 pm which is why I was up so late reading it. The task was posted at 6:52 pm so I did start after it was posted. I just didn't see the task until I posted my completion.

So we each just need to read one book by a male author?

message 233: by AliciaJ (new)

AliciaJ | 1873 comments I'm going to start with Rebound by Andrew Grey.

Yes we each read 1 book.

Barbara ★ | 3911 comments I'm going to read The Crown Tower by Michael J. Sullivan because I need to read it for another challenge.

ETA: my ebook wouldn't open so I had to change to another book

message 236: by Trio (last edited May 11, 2020 01:05PM) (new)

Trio | 2846 comments I'm going with Declination by Gregory Ashe and it doesn't work for any other challenges 😅.
I found two that would work but I've read them both already and I'm not in a mood for a re-read.

I lucked out and found a (shorter) book I really enjoyed - I went with A Family Affair

No worries Trio. Some books shouldn't be rushed.

Trio | 2846 comments oh my gosh, I grabbed a book off NetGalley last night and read it straight through - writing my review just now it occurred to me - the author is male! haha, I can post this for my male author 😂.

MountainKat | 32191 comments Yay! Here is Task 10:

69. Read over 750 600 pages in books about the same profession, teams decide which profession.

Professions such as law enforcement officers or musicians are fine. Just don't try to pass off both a rancher and a chef as in the food industry. Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count!

message 246: by Trio (new)

Trio | 2846 comments Sounds good, what do you guys think? Law enforcement or lawyer or teacher/professor? Farmer, clergy?

message 247: by Barbara ★ (new)

Barbara ★ | 3911 comments law enforcement would be the easiest but I could do lawyer as well.

message 248: by Trio (new)

Trio | 2846 comments You pick Alicia

message 249: by AliciaJ (last edited May 15, 2020 05:51PM) (new)

AliciaJ | 1873 comments If we do lawyer, I could reread Try, (382 pgs), my favorite Ella Frank book. So if you guys are good with lawyers, that would be my pick.

By the way, sorry for not getting here sooner. I was doing math with my little brother. He’s in middle school, so we were doing algebra. Ugh. I haven’t done polynomials since I was in high school, about a thousand years ago! LOL

message 250: by Trio (new)

Trio | 2846 comments haha, totally no problem Alicia, I'm still in the middle of another audiobook I really need to finish and review before I can start another one.

Lawyer works great for me, I'd like to do Boyfriend Material - the only problem is that book is really long. I'll see if I can find something a bit shorter.
