I believe this book is YA. I read a book where a teenage girl is in a writers workshop that is by her father and befriends a girl who ends up getting her into a bad crowd. She gets her into alcohol. Hopefully that's enough for someone to name this one.

When you say she "falls for a girl," do you mean that the two girls fall in love, or were they just friends?

I'm assuming they were high school age?

I think I figured it out actually. Just had to skim though some of my books I read in the last couple years.

but yes they were high school and she fell in love with the girl but I believe the girl just wanted to be friends
