October 2020: The Alice Network

I recently finished Nightingale. So I approached Alice Network wondering if it would 'the same.' I found AN much richer and in spots harder to listen to...some of those scenes are brutal. I found myself cringing, finding listening to the words harder to take than reading them (I can skim over). Sometimes I got the characters and times mixed up. But such a good read. The characters were favorites. Yet it was the descriptions of the times and life during/after both wars that have me replaying the book in my mind over and over. Nitpick it if you want: but don't miss it. Definitely a book for the gals. Likely too much all women are/become strong and men either evil or hunks.
