[Ahahaha now she has to talk about Landy my little boy]

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 1174 comments Lilia nodded, looking over at him too. "Percy wasn't ridden, though. And, sort of. I climbed the stables and sat on the roof, then I rode for I bit, then fell out of very tall tree, um, and then fell asleep." Lilia nodded, not bothering to mention Orlando. He was just a pain, anyway.

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 1174 comments ((XD))

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 1174 comments ((Hello?))

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 1174 comments Lilia grinned back sarcastically. "Yes, Roan, I had the best of times falling out of that tree." She laughed again before looking up at the stars once more and answering his second question. "No, I'm fine. Orlan-uh, I…fell on my horse. But he's fine, too."

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 1174 comments ((Haha, no problem. I totally understand)

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 1174 comments Lilia grinned, both in the idea of riding one more time today and that Roan had missed her slip up. "I'd love to!" Lilia jumped up, not even bothering to brush the dirt off of her dress and walked into the stables. She hopped on her horse, going bareback, as she had before.

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 1174 comments Lilia laughed as she listened to the conversation between boy and horse before galloping after Roan. After she caught up a minute, she grinned over at him. "Want to race?"

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 1174 comments Lilia's face fell for a few seconds. Two race declines in one day. That had to be a record for her, right? It had to be. There were rare days when there would only be one decline. "Oh. All right." Lilia nodded, remembering Cornelli and all of his incredibly strict rules and regulations.

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 1174 comments Lilia nodded. "Deal. Where do you want to go now, then?"

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 1174 comments Lilia laughed at the horse for the second time that evening, then started following after them. "Well, alright. Off to the mystery destination!"

Charlie liked horses. Horses were not the problem. The problem was that Charlie did not like heights, not one bit, and he always felt a bit queasy getting up there. Once he was up and going, it became better, but until that point, well, getting on really was the hardest part. That was why Charlie had been staring at the stables uncertainly for the past thirty minutes, sitting in the shade of his favorite peach tree with, whaddya know, a peach in his hand. It wasn't peach season, so the flavor of the peach was lacking, but Charlie could deal.

He wished he had brought a book, something to distract him from the stables building which just kept on catching his eye. He knew he had been neglecting his horse, that if he spent another day doing experiments (he had been banned from the labroatory and he had also been banned from his own room, how lame was that?), Sage would become grumpy and it would take around twenty apples to win back Sage's friendship. Which normally wouldn't be that bad except wait, he was banned from the kitchens, too.

corina (molteneyes) | 737 comments So far, Elysia had put real memories with about half the places listed on the map in her head. The other half that she had yet to visit consisted mainly of the rooms of other Selected girls, a few random rooms scattered throughout the castle that few used, the private part of the castle reserved for the royal family, and a few outdoor locations.

Clad in loose boyfriend jeans, a white tee shirt that occasionally slipped off her shoulders - it was rather annoying actually, but it had been the least formal shirt in the entire closet that wasn't a jacket - and black Chucks, Elysia stepped out of the castle through a back door she had found and started towards the stables. She had ridden a few times, but just so she knew how, and that was it. Elysia doubted she ever would learn to truly ride, but the basics were enough for now.

Rather than enter the barn, she detoured around the side, stepping quietly through the cool air. It felt refreshing to be away from the clutter of 34 other girls vying for the prince's heart. Too many voices, too many people. And they were so annoying, all of them peacocks who tried to look the prettiest. Never mind that it was the male peacocks who had the pretty plumage rather than the females - these girls were trying to become one with the bird.

So lost was she in her own thoughts that she almost tripped over a boy sprawled beneath a peach tree, a half-eaten peach - obviously - in hand.

"Sorry." Her tone was light, informal, and gave away nothing. He wasn't one of the younger princes - Elysia knew that much. Not a guard, they didn't have time to lollygag and eat peaches. A royal cousin, then.

"Hmm?" Charlie replied absentmindedly, assuming that it was Lilia and motioning the girl to sit. Was there a way to make peaches taste sweet and juicy all year round? Probably not, unless they were cultivated in a greenhouse and seeing how Echo had a strong dislike for GMO's well, trying to genetically modify parts of the peach was out of question.

It was then he realized that Lilia did not, in any sense, have black hair and the voice was slightly lower and oh god, he jumped up with such zeal the peach flew out of his hand and rolled down the grass as he realized that in the past two hours, he had encountered not one, but two selected girls and he wasn't sure what to do about it.

"You're okay, I'm sorry, wait no, no need to apologize, lady... Lady..." He frantically tried to remember her name, but to no avail.

corina (molteneyes) | 737 comments Elysia watched the boy with detached amusement as he casually gestured to the ground for her to sit. Either he was very friendly or he had mistaken her for someone else. Her answer came moments later when he finally focused on her and jumped to his feet, his half-eaten peach rolling across the grass. She felt a little guilty for surprising him like that, and reached up to grab the lowest branch of the peach tree. She pulled two peaches from its branches, two of the few peaches left on the miserable little tree, and tossed one to the boy before sitting down where he had gestured for her to sit only moments ago.

Elysia echoed the gesture back at him, not wanting to deal with formalities. "Why does everyone insist on calling me "lady?" I'm a dancer, not a queen. Seriously, it's just Elysia. Nothing in front of that, please. And you are... one of Perry's relatives?" Elysia hazarded a guess, but it was more like an educated conjecture. He had to be some sort of royal.

[ no problemo ]

He caught the peach, the surprise still drawn all about his face, as he mumbled a haphazard thank you and tried to get everything in place, his face turning grave, the shock and the scatterbrainedness slowly fading away as the girl sat in front of him in an absurd casual manner, making it hard for him to keep the formalities, and in this case, the facade in place.

"We were instructed to do so, although you're right, everyone abhors it, so I guess it's just one of the many illogical things about--" about the Selection, he was going to say, but no, he couldn't, so awkwardly he stumbled over words, lamely ending up with-- "about... This." He waved his hands around in a vague manner, pointing up rather comically to the peach tree. "Charlie, son of Duke William, but if you're a dancer, not a queen, than I'm a scientist, definitely not a duke. Pleasure to meet you, nothing-in-front-of-Elysia." His hands moved rapidly as he talked, and the second peach threatened to fly away multiple times, but Charlie managed to catch himself, just in time. He had a grave manner to him, but there was something alight in his eyes that made him seem younger than his sixteen years as he tried to seem somewhat-dukely, and of course, miserably failed.

((OH, I'M SO SORRY!!!!!))

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 1174 comments Lilia laughed, acting like a child in a candy store as she watched Percy. She didn't move her horse, though, and instead stayed closer to the stables, where they had been before, as she watched the horse ride all around the field. After a few minutes of watching the entertaining animal, Lilia rode forward and caught up to Roan, a grin spreading across her face.

"And where might we be headed, Percy?" Lilia asked with a smile, directing the unanswerable question towards the horse. It was unanswerable, unless, of course, Roan pretended to be him. Lilia laughed to herself at this thought, knowing it would never happen. Instead, she practically flew past Roan and Percy, hopping over the fence, but continuing onward to the forest. She slowed and turned back for a second, to ask, "Well, are you coming?"

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 1174 comments Lilia watched her cousin, from where she had stopped her horse. He looked concerned, and for good reason. Percy rarely ever acted like that, as far as Lilia could remember. And she saw him almost every time he was ridden. Instead of continuing to ride once Roan and Percy got there, Lilia stayed and looked at Roan. "What's up with him?"

Elysia pulled her knees up closer to her chest, one arm wrapping around them while she rested the other on her knees, and took a small bite of the peach. "About the Selection," she filled in for him, having no compunctions about pointing out the faults of this damned process. She had rather come to hate it, all this traipsing around and trying to catch the prince's eye. She knew she was supposed to do the same, but she couldn't bring herself to put her heart into it. While Perry was nice, she saw him as a friend, truly, not as a romantic conquest. Elysia only hoped that she'd be able to fake it for long enough to get to the Elite.

"The pleasure is all mine, Charlie-not-a-duke," Elysia replied in an equally formal manner, imitating his grave countenance but for a small smile ringing her lips. Every time his hand swung around and the peach threatened to fly from his hand, Elysia had to tamp down the reflexes that yearned to reach out and snag the peach that was not yet flying though the air from the air. But that type of instinct was what would give her away, as it almost had with Katharina. "A scientist, you say? Sounds interesting. I'm pretty sure the only things I remember from my plethora of science courses are Newton's three laws." She grinned at him.

[I'm on episode five? Seriously seeing how we had the day off and I finally wasn't bombarded with homework I'm just trying to get through 3 tv shows and two podcasts at once and actually I noticed some time ago but didn't have a chance to voice the revelation until now but thank you for noticing that I noticed xD]

"Yes. About that." Charlie repeated with a ghost of a smile on his face as he tried not to drift away and his face wiped off the smile. He assumed the air he did in public, a serious face, solemn, quiet, nice for background, giving off the impression that he was one of those people who didn't speak much but could listen to whatever you had to say for hours on end. Containing the insanity, as his father liked to say.

He finally took the peach he was frantically swinging around and took a large bite of it, practically demolishing it and consequently throwing the pit on the ground, marvelling at how, if this pit was lucky, in time, it would sprout, and if there was enough room, enough sun, enough water, it would grow, and if no disease came to it or no man tried to cut it down or no animal dug it up, mistaking it for a tasty root, it would flourish until it, too, would bear peaches-- "It's a good foundation, it's a good tidbit to have as the only piece of information you remember," Charlie said with a grave nod, his eyes contradicting the solemn air by darting all over the place, from the tree to the pit to Elysia as his mind wandered and sparked in hundreds of different directions and he regretted not going down to the stables sooner.
