Will Jack and his father find some middle ground? Call detente? Or will they make peace?

I think they'll make peace. We'll eventually see the whole family together in another book. I'll be shocked if their relationship has not resumed.

No matter what happens between them, Jack’s decided he’s resuming a relationship with the rest of the family.

[Charlene]

I think we will see the family together; it wouldn't surprise me that "Padre" needs to get Jack to the point of real forgiveness of his dad, though. I liked Padre, so I hope to see him in future books.

Détente first and peace down the road. Pat and Jack have a lot to iron out and work through, but I think they will.

I hope they can make peace, but they are both so stubborn. One of them is going to have to give. It will probably be Jack.
