Alisha Robinson (robinsonalisha) | 7 comments Hi everyone :)

I am new to the group and didn't see anywhere to introduce myself so I thought I would do so here and let everyone know I am available for reviews.

My name is Alisha :) I'm from Canada and I love reading, I average a few books a week and have run out of material - seriously in a book drought over here. I also want to start posting more book reviews to my blog so I thought why not join this group and see if I can find some more books to read! :)

So I am happy to post reviews on Goodreads, my own blog, Amazon and I have the Apple Books app and Scribd app if your books are on those platforms I can add my review there as well.

I'm happy to read any of the following genres and I will read any heat level.
- historical romance (kind of my new guilty pleasure)
- paranormal suspense
- romance suspense
- YA
- paranormal romance

I am not a huge fan of gay/lesbian/menage genres but if it isn't the main theme I am happy to give it a go as well. I'm really up for reading pretty much anything but those listed above are my usual go to's.

Byron Fortin (byronfortin) | 8 comments Hello Alisha,
I have a paranormal series that is in need of reviews. One of the characters in it actually goes by the name Alrisha. Not quite the same, I know, but I thought the similarities were enough that it might be fun to share nonetheless.

I have added a brief summary and links for each entry below. There are four books in total, though you may only be looking to start with the first. I have copies available in Mobi, ePub and PDF formats. I can also provide a free listen of books I & II through Audible, should you prefer. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please feel free to message me, either here or at byronfortin@gmail.com. If not, then that's perfectly fine too. Whatever you may decide, I just want to say thank you!

Summary:

Join in the seance, made to raise the Guardian from out the abyss...but be wary the demons of the nightly order who seek to surmount those who would bring this prophecy about and bend it to their own means.

Time is running out.

The sands fast slip through the hourglass. Can Regina solve the mystery of the voices haunting him? Or will Ambrosia fall victim to the night of thinnest veil, propelled further down the spiral that ends in a complete breakdown of his reality? To provoke the spirit world means to suffer a mind of madness, still the runes foretell a choice to be made...

It's listed as literary, mystery but it also has a twist of paranormal, since young Charley is cursed to be living with his father's consciousness. Set in early Hollywood, CA (1910-1950) it is also historical inspired by real events and people.

I also have PDF and Mobi formats as well should you be interested

Bibiana Krall (htttpgoodreadsbibianakrall) Hey Alisha. I would love if you took a look at The Irish Phantom Series.

Corvus Hall is the first of three linked novellas and there is one more on the way. It has ghosts, suspense and gothic details that I think you would like. Let's follow each other and if you are interested in the book, just send me a message. Thank you and all the best. Bibiana

Sharon | 6 comments Good morning Alisha.

My children's chapter book series is geared toward middle grade. It is based on my parrot, Jasper, that we rescued and adopted in 1999 at the age of five. The running theme for the series is family, friends and learning to get along with those different from us.

The title of volume one is "Jasper, Amazon Parrot: A Rainforest Adventure" and at the moment there are three books.

Sheri Brown | 2 comments Hi Alisha,

I have a speculative fiction ebook ‘ Vi’gosh the Wanderer’ available on most formats, iBooks, kindle, kobo. . .

I’m an indie author and though I did have an editor (I don’t believe she did a great job) so, I’m sure there are mistakes. This is my first time asking for a review. But I would like to have some reader insight from another person other than friends/family.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Cheers,

Sheri Brown

Daniel Newwyn | 4 comments Hello Alisha!

I was wondering if you would be willing to give my romance novelette a go? My book is a contemporary romance novelette (200 words away from being a novella, so about ~16800 words), so it's a very short and hopefully satisfying read.

The Colour of Your Voice

This is the synopsis:

"Violet Pham can see the colour of sounds. Ever since she knew it, everything she heard carried a shade. She spent hours pouring her pencil sketches on paper, glaring at the milky white rays in the air dangling around, wrapping the mossy green blobs emanating from her mother's voice.

She was born to become a painter. But her faith keeps getting tested by her classmates and mother. "You can't do anything right," they tell her. She begins to question herself. Once she does, there is only one solution: run away from everything.

That is when she meets Turner Nguyen.

Turner is everything Violet wishes she is: an iron will and a flint heart. There is only one thing wrong about him — he's a gangster, the scummy type. He barges into gang wars. He beats people up for money. He smuggles drugs.

Soon, they learn that a romance of two castaways is a recipe for disaster. Slowly, their lives take turns for the worse."

I understand that you might be busy, and I totally understand if you think that my book won't be a good fit. But if you're interested, please let me know!

Best wishes,

Daniel

Gina LoBiondo (ginalob) | 89 comments Hi, Alisha, I have published 3 books -- 2 children's picture books and a juvenile fiction book. Here's a summary --

My 2 children's picture books are called Pegasus -- A Dragon's Tale and Button Nose the Sad Little Bear respectively. Pegasus has won 11 prestigious book awards and is the story of brother and sister royal bear cubs who find a mysterious egg while out playing one day. It eventually hatches into a cute baby dragon and the 3 become inseparable friends. The story centers on that friendship and what happens after they are separated and eventually reunited. Button Nose has won 6 awards and is the fictionalized account of the teddy bear I had as a child and what happens to him after he's sold in a yard sale. The back of the book blurb says it's "the story of a much-loved little bear and the little girl who will never give up on finding him again."

My 3rd book Cinderella -- A Love Story is a 130-page, 16-chapter juvenile fiction book and is "a fanciful and absorbing rewrite of the classic faerie tale". It is told here in a fascinating new version, set circa mid-16th century. Younger readers will love the borrowed magic that enables Ella to attend the ball, while older readers -- including adults -- will connect with the inseparable bond between mother and child; a bond that transcends time and space and even death itself.

Ella's parents are young and in love and the family is happy until Marie suddenly dies. Her father remarries, hoping to give his beloved child a mother's love and care. But Charles's new wife is a cruel, unaffectionate woman, who cares only for her own two very backward daughters, and turns her step-daughter into a servant. Ten years later, when the King throws a ball in honour of his son, Ella's only chance at happiness comes from a most unexpected source.

All three are available as a paperback and an eBook. Let me know if you're interested in any or all of them. I'm always looking for reviews. Thanks and take care.

Best wishes,
Gina L. ^_^

I am sure I can speak for all the authors you have chosen so far, if you can post your review on amazon.com (and in my case also amazon.co.uk if you can manage it) it will be much appreciated. The main thing though is to enjoy the read.

Here is the blurb for Eden's Echo followed by the amazon preorder link so you can look at the cover; it's so new it hasn't landed here on Goodreads yet ;P Thanks Alisha, and stay safe during this crazy time!!

True love knows no boundaries, it sees no color, even if that love is forbidden. Believing that got Eden’s mom, Echo killed at the age of sixteen, and the identity of Eden’s father was one of many secrets she took to the grave. Instead of moving on, Echo’s soul moved in. With her mother’s presence in her body, Eden can feel Echo’s emotions and hear her thoughts. When Eden tells, pseudo father, Uncle Daryl, about the voice in her head, it takes her down a road that leads to a diagnosis of multiple personalities. Now at seventeen, Eden has a secret love affair of her own with Drew. If Uncle Daryl ever found out the consequences would rip them apart, but that’s the least of Eden’s problems. As new clues surface surrounding her father’s identity, Eden finds herself on a dangerous path that could answer her paternity questions and the mysteries of her mother’s death, but at what cost? Eden can feel the weight of the secrets Echo keeps from her—secrets that have Echo’s killer returning after seventeen years with a mind to make history repeat itself.

Pamela Canepa | 21 comments Hi, Alisha!

My most recent book needs reviews and is in Kindle Unlimited! It is Malachi, Ruse Master. I would most appreciate a read and review! Here is a synopsis:

Duplicity is Mike’s first nature. If you want to know what he’s doing with his life, just ask, but don’t expect the truth. You may not even be getting his real name…
Such duplicity is the reason a so-called ‘acting job’ at a suspiciously sparse agency, LLJF, becomes the perfect solution to Mike’s college drop-out blues. During a time when he is just finding out who he really is, Mike adopts the new identity of ‘Malachi,’ and it fits like a glove. A broken nose, a lost tooth, stealing scientific secrets, and a run through the alleys of D.C. are all in a day’s work. Malachi is the best at uncovering the truths that others want to hide, and the taste of succeeding at what you are best at is intoxicating.
Malachi is willing to do anything to get his paycheck--until he must decide if the thrill of deception is worth the price he must pay.
Malachi, Ruse Master is a Detours in Time series character spinoff and intersects with events from Undercurrents in Time, but it also reads well as a standalone.
Malachi, Ruse Master
