Really enjoying my second Mason Cross book, and have all the books in order to read

reading

The Samaritan (Carter Blake #2) by Mason Cross

Jonathan Hill | 9 comments Glad to see Peter James at the top, massive Roy Grace fan, but his other stand alone I do enjoy, Absolute Proof was sensational. Glad you mentioned Lindwood Barclay, the 23 series and Promise Falls I just love, thought it was an author I had a monopoly on.

However I was thinking the other evening over a nice bottle of red, favourite detective. I have some favourite series, Roy Grace, Enzo McLeod (Peter May), DI Andy Gilchrist (TFMuir), DI Kim Stone (Andrea Marion’s) Katie Maguire (Masterton) and Karen Pirie (Val McDermid). Would love to know peoples favourite characters or series. Difficult to place in order as well. A horror book fan who grew up on the 80s Herbert, King, Koontz and Hudson but matured into a detective thriller fan.

Christine Indorf | 1813 comments I didn't see BA Paris. Behind Closed Doors will always be my favorite thriller of all time. Also John Marrs is amazing as well. The One and What Lies Between Us are both amazing. I kinda like the newer authors because they have nothing to lose when they write a thriller and that when you usually get a good one!
