Not sure what to do with this issue - there are a number of entries for the Devil’s Panties series attributed to Lauren Perry, rather than Jennie Breeden. I’ve done a fair bit of research and there seems to be no similar works attributed to Lauren Perry anywhere but on goodreads. The Lauren Perry titles have ISBNs that don’t match the Breeden books, and the publisher listed is the one that used to publish single issues of the DP comic (she now self-publishes).

However, some of the Perry-credited titles do have reviews that shouldn’t be lost. What’s the best way to deal with these? I don't know if we can change the ISBN on the Perry books to the correct Breeden version so they can be merged?

Links in question:

DP Vol. 7 - Lauren Perry:

DP Vol. 11 - Lauren Perry:

Jennie Breeden has just released DP 11 and it doesn't have an entry yet. I don't want to create it until these discrepancies have been sorted out.

Thanks for any advice on this!

Sandra | 24728 comments We don't touch isbns to merge editions, so don't do that.

Lauren Perry is listed as the Editor of The Devil's Panties on Barnes & Noble. It was originally imported by B&N when they used to add titles to GR. And is still available for purchase there.

I suggest you contact the author and ask if she ever published anything under the Lauren Perry name.

Kim (celticoracle) | 7 comments Well that at least explains where the Perry name came from. It was confusing the heck out of me. While I’m 95% sure Jennie Breeden hasn’t published under anything other than her own name, I can try dropping her a note to check. If they are her books, should I just change the author in the Perry records and leave it at that, then?

I was pretty sure changing the ISBN was a no-go, which is why I wanted to confirm before doing something stupid. :)

Sandra | 24728 comments If she did use the Perry name, we'd have to change Breeden to secondary author for those volumes, as the date is much later.

Won't affect the series, they will still appear on the Breeden profile as well.

Kim (celticoracle) | 7 comments Jennie Breeden has confirmed she hasn’t published under any other names, so I’ll just change the Perry ones.
