...cats? | 365 comments I love horror comedy as a film genre (eg: What We Do in the Shadows; Shaun of the Dead; Cabin in the Woods; Scream; Zombieland). I'm looking for novels that also effectively combine these two genres.

Jane | 15 comments Anything by Grady Hendrix. My favorite is We Sold Our Souls, but Horrorstör, My Best Friend's Exorcism, and The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires are great, too. He also wrote a nonfiction book, Paperbacks from Hell, about the horror fiction boom of the '70s and '80s that's interesting and entertaining!
