Elizabeth: a coming of age novel (complete 2nd draft 65K words)

Hello Betas

I'm a published ghostwriter but this is my first stab at fiction. I think what I have is a 'coming of age' novel. Presuming that it's not too late to come of age at 40?

The book starts with a car accident. As Elizabeth's life flashes before her she realises that she has spent most of it trying not to become the product of her dysfunctional family. But does this revelation come too late?

This book explores nature and nurture and whether we can truly escape the path we are set upon at our birth.


I imagine this might appeal more to a female beta but don't want to limit it to this. I'm happy to send the opening chapters to anyone considering this with no obligation to read the rest.
