A little help requested from other librarians. There are actually three Kindle versions of this book on Goodreads, all created close in time to one another. Only one of the ASINs is available on Amazon and that edition has the new cover. Is this a case where a merge is needed?https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...
No, in most cases, you would delete the existing cover since it is "Coming Soon" and replace it with the current one for that ASIN on Amazon. ETA: *But not for this one.* Sorry for my misunderstanding!
If the Kindle edition has an ASIN, then it is unique, and should not be merged.

And those have no bearing on this edition. I did not look before, but I see now that this cover was not uploaded by a user, but by Amazon. So, in this case, an ACE would be required. This should always be checked in the changelog.

Thanks. I am sorry to be a pain but there is one more thing that has to be changed, please. The publication date is showing as today when it should be 27 June 2019.
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...Is listed an an alternate cover edition and should be deleted. The cover is wrong. It's a placeholder cover and not the cover for the book.

When a new cover edition is added, the publication date on Goodreads would be the date the new cover became available, or our closest approximation thereof.

My understanding was that in that case, we should add an ACE to be on the safe side. If someone else wants to note otherwise they are welcome to weigh in.
Why have an ACE listing when it's not an actual cover but a placeholder?
It depends on whether that cover was distributed. At this stage we can't tell, so add an ACE to be on the safe side.
