OK I will allow the Silk Merchant of Sychar - the amazon link from the book page isn't working, but a manual search shows that there is a paperback edition, so it's eligible.

message 83: by Barbara (new)

Barbara Crane | 33 comments I nominate my award-winning novel, "When Water Was Everywhere. Any notion of California’s romantic past gets a reality check in this novel. You will get a vivid picture of the people who once lived in early Los Angeles. American immigrants, Mexican Californios, Tongva Indians and Spanish padres come to life in my imaginative re-telling of California’s Mexican era. As the novel unfolds, its themes of loss, hope and redemption resonate from every page.

This thread will be closing tonight. A poll will more than likely follow as it appears the snow is blocking me from leaving my house.

Please note that if you are an author who nominated your book, you need to be available to lead the book discussion when the March threads open.

Also, today is the last day to nominate or second, so get them in now. Gretchen will be putting up the poll tomorrow.
