Any listeners read this yet? Did you find the exploration of Aunt Lydia compelling? Were you interested to learn more about Gilead?

David (davidh219) | 11 comments Glad to have you guys around to sate my curiosity about this, because I read Handmaid's Tale relatively recently, 2018 I think, and had no desire to return to Gilead yet. Was one of the most depressing books I've ever read. Seems like this one is less so.

Marita | 4 comments I liked this book, but thought it bore a much stronger resemblance, stylistically, to Atwood's recent Madd Addam trilogy then it does to the original Handmaid's tale. Which makes sense. It has been 35 years since she wrote the first one. It's alot less stark, and rather less impactful.
