SOLVED. Sci-Fi Children's book. The main character was a girl who was one of the last humans and was being looked after by her robot nanny in her pod/habitat thing. [s]

Spoiler alert). Then she went exploring and someone tried to kidnap and display her in a museum and almost killed her. Her robot nanny also ended up dying and I think there was a boy that managed to convince her to explore but I might just be making that bit up. All I really remeber is that the art was amazing and it was a really thick book.
