Hi, all. I’m Daria. Born and raised in NJ, I share my home with my mother and our rescue beagle, Millie. I enjoy memoirs but I’m a voracious reader in general; my love of pop culture definitely influences my non-fiction shelf.

I live near Fargo, North Dakota. I haven’t read much nonfiction in the past, but one of my goals this year is to read more of it - at least one nonfiction book a month. I’m a voracious reader and love reading lots of different genres so I’m hoping to expand that with nonfiction.

I’m an Australian who lives by the beach and not too close to any fire, for now at least. I teach literacy at a high school and love it most of the time. I usually read memoir in terms of nonfiction.

I'm Matt, I live in northern NJ. My sister makes fun of how much non-fiction I read, so this year I'll be adding a few novels in addition to my normal array of non-fiction.
I'm really into outdoor sports like skiing and mountaineering, but I've struggled to find good books about outdoor adventurers. If anyone has suggestions I'd be glad to hear them!

Thanks for the invite, Daria! SSDGM!

Diana - I'm a fellow murderino, for sure.

Outside of reading: I home brew beer and love to cook. I have rescue beagle mix named Watson who loves to snuggle.

A very belated welcome to you, James! I'm an equally opportunity reader, so audiobooks are certainly a format I take advantage of often. I hope you find some worthy new reads here.

Greetings from Port Angeles, WA.

So I came here 6 years ago because of the mountains and views and affordable housing. I knew no one then and know hardly anyone, still, other than my dog Max and cat Niko. Covid isolation hasn't helped with spreading roots. I long for people to share ideas, perspectives, interesting topics with, so that's why I joined.
I've never followed a book group consistently, because there are always still so many books that I really want to read on my To Read list that I resist reading ones that don't interest me much or at all. My reading interests are broad, so I don't need a nudge to branch out. But the value of book groups, I'm told, is in the different perspectives -- and some of those nudges, probably?
