This novel is not by a Turkish author but was recommended by one of my Turkish friends. I enjoyed Birds without Wings very much and wanted to share the title in follow up to the conversation at last night's (01.06.20) World Lit Club meeting. Liza

I want to include The Janissary Tree by Jason Goodwin in the category of good books about Turkey but not by Turkish authors.
