Hi, everyone! I read constantly when I was younger, then life got busy and I couldn't make enough time. I discovered audiobooks about 10 years ago, and it was a game changer. I listen to about 100 a year, most of them romance.

Hello. My name is Melissa and I am an Audible addict. I listen to audiobooks to escape. I am a middle school science teacher in an inner city school system so I NEED to escape often. I currently have over 2000 books in my Audible library. I listen to mostly paranormal romance but I also enjoy science fiction romance, contemporary romance and cozy mysteries. I love J.D. Hi! I’ve been an avid reader of many genres all my life. I began reading audiobooks several years ago due to a daily long commute to work. I’ve come to love audiobooks! Currently, I’m in a phase enjoying romance audiobooks…previously I was avidly reading true crime. I particularly enjoy those written in first person, and those with dual POVs are my absolute favorite. Good narrators make or break a book…and finding romance titles that are in keeping with my preferences with good narration can be difficult! Currently, I’m reading about a book per day…so new recommendations are really helpful. So glad to have found this group!

My vision is pretty bad and has gotten worse in the last couple of years so I had thought I'd have to give up on reading, was even struggling with ebooks. But, recently discovered the joy of audiobooks & it has really changed my world. Been digging the paranormal romance lately, but would love to listen to a lot of other genres! (:

I'm brazilian and there aren't many audiobooks in portuguese, but I listen to audiobooks in english just fine. Romance is my favorite genre, so almost all of the audiobooks I've listened to so far have been romances. I hope to meet new friends around here!

New to the group - I have mild dyslexia so I am an avid auto-book consumer, and so glad I found this group. Love me some fiction contemporary romance with a suspenseful plot. I have listened to hundreds of audiobooks but would love any suggestions
I'm Elspeth and I live near San Francisco. I've been obsessed with audiobooks for years. I used to have a job where I edited audiobooks for a company that made them for the blind. I miss that job! They even gave me a reel-to-reel machine to listen to the books, that's how long ago it was ;) (1999)I found out a couple of years ago that I had had an Audible subscription for 18 mos and didn't know it (my husband never bothered to ask me what it was and kept paying it?)
I used to listen to books on cassette or CD in my car but now I only listen to audiobooks on Hoopla or Libby on my phone. I am obsessed with them, and always get the max I can per month :)

My favorite narrator is Justine O'Keef but I also like all the regency standard narrators as well.

I don't think there are different narrators. I think that for current books they're just narrated by one person and put on different places to rent/sell. For classics like Pride and Prejudice there can be different versions with different narrators.

Hello! I feel like I have finally found my people... my name is Amy and I live in Austin, TX (but I'm not a "Texan"... not that there's anything wrong with Texans - I'm just not one of them). Anyway (squirrel), I am an avid listener of romance and erotica and I wish that more authors would join the audio train. I have many lists in my Amazon account of books I want to "read" but am waiting until they're available via audio. I used to solely be a reader but as I also enjoy various hobbies I found that listening while I knit, color, garden, etc allows me to escape while also being somewhat productive. And boy do I love to escape!!
Speaking of which... only this group would appreciate how angry I STILL am at Audible for getting rid of the Audible Escapes package!!
So quick summary of me - I'm 46 (or 47 - would have to do the math) and married (but not to that "one" guy - but he's still a good guy) with a 10 year-old son. I work full-time but am able to do so from home, which is awesome. I love wine, dessert and good edibles.

Before I had babies, I had alllllllll the time in the world to read. Now? I have zero time. Audiobooks to the rescue!
Over the past year, I have listened to 48 different novels. That's more books than I've "read" in the past 5 years combined!
Needless to say, I'm obsessed. I have a massive collection of thousands of audiobooks & ebooks.
Romance/Erotica/Fantasy are probably some of my favorites, but I'm open to just about everything. I'm here because everything on booktok or the internets are mostly not geared toward audio and they only rec'd books. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Hi! My name is Rebecca. I’m a married, empty nester, Nana who dreams of retirement. I’ve always loved reading, and found the love for listening a couple of years ago. One Halloween, the Muzak was driving me a little crazy. Couldn’t concentrate to do my job. My boss invited me to listen to anything I wanted while in my office. That’s when I could Libby & Hoopla. I now subscribe to Scribd. I enjoy series and listening in order, so I jump around on the platforms. I wonder why the platforms don’t have whole series? 🤷♀️
