Peter Fugazzotto | 23 comments I am making my gritty fantasy novella free today and tomorrow. The second book will come out in a couple of weeks so this should get you ready.

If you like it, a review here on Goodreads would be appreciated. Thanks!

Peter, I grabbed a copy. Am buried in books, but that won't stop an addict :).

Peter Fugazzotto | 23 comments Thanks! It's a novella and moves pretty quickly so great for stuck-waiting-in-the-mall reading. ;)

Ashe Armstrong (ashearmstrong) At 62 pages, I could probably fly through it soon. Will post a review, or at least rate it, when I get to it.

I'm sure I will. I am intrigued by the Durham, er Dhurman Empire :)

Ashe Armstrong (ashearmstrong) I read through the first ssection last night. I get shades of Berserk, but that's probably just my point of reference for a merc group like that.

I had to google that since I was not familiar with this series. Looks interesting.

Ashe Armstrong (ashearmstrong) Berserk is great. You just have to get a little familiarized with elements of Japanese storytelling so that it doesn't completely throw you off when the more "typical" things pop up. Mostly, you just get some seriously epic, grimdark fantasy. And definitely has a vein of S&S running through it, in the "Man vs. Monster" stuff.

Anywho, I'll read on some more tonight!

Ashe Armstrong (ashearmstrong) Finally finished. Pretty good little story, though i think you could've gone one more draft before release. Still, enjoyed it and I imagine i'll get the sequel at ssome point.
