Undivided Buddy Read

Hi everyone! So a bunch of us are going to be buddy reading Undivided in the coming weeks. Everyone is welcome to join!

There are no set number of chapters a day, just read at your own pace. Make sure to hide spoilers under tags! Have fun!

I just started it, but I can't for the life of me remember what happened in the last book. Can anyone give me a refresher? LOL

Let's see, (view spoiler)[ the graveyard gets raided, and Starkey and the storks escape in the plane, regroup, and go after all the rewind camps, gathering more storks and execute guards. Levi saves Connor and they make it to Indian reservation for sanctuary. Cam shows up there. Connor, Cam and Grace seek out Sonia, who was the woman who first held them safely in Unwind until being sent to the Graveyard. Her husband invented Unwinding. They reunite with Risa there. Cam is recaptured (he sacrifices himself to save Risa and Connor). (hide spoiler)]

I was slowly listening to Undivided while waiting for the buddy read so I'm about 15% in.

Ok, so I'm at 43%. Love it so far.
(view spoiler)[ I forgot how much I liked Connor. All the characters are very well developed and interesting. Not much action yet but I haven't been bored. (hide spoiler)]

74%. Insanity.
(view spoiler)[ So much is going on. The scene where Connor kills Starkey is incredibly thought provoking. I'm always astonished at how plausible this horrifying world is. I love how Shusterman includes actual news articles to show that yes, this unimaginable situation could actually happen. It's really great to have a lot of different perspectives too, it makes the book feel faster and more engrossing. (hide spoiler)]

60% What!!?? (view spoiler)[ Sonia just died, Risa got tranq'd, Connor got tranq'd. Everything's gone to crap!! At least Grace got the printer out. Although it's in pieces and Sonia's dead!!! Gah!! (hide spoiler)]

Just finished! Shusterman is a freaking genius!! I thought I was going to pass out each time when (view spoiler)[ Connor was unwound, when Lev was shot, when Roberta was shooting Cam... I figured Risa was going to be next. And then.... Connor is rewound!!!! Brilliant!

And he ends up with the girl. And Cam ends up with a "wife", and even Lev gets a girl! I was wondering what had happened to her. And Connor gets his family back! And Grace... is smart and rich now! (hide spoiler)]

This was such a satisfying ending to the series! Loved it so much!

Glad you enjoyed it, and I agree- Neal Shusterman's plotting and planning in this book was amazing. Definitely the best series conclusion I've read this year.
