Hello all the members of RMFAO,

We all love reading series (how can we not, right?) There are so many amazing series that we simply can't have enough of. Reading about the familiar characters, following their lives one book after the other and exploring their worlds intimately is an entirely different experience than reading a standalone novel. Reading series is like living in different-different fictional worlds in a true sense. But so many times, much to our dismay, we fail to complete a series that were started long ago. Sometimes "real life" comes in the way and some time procrastination does, but no matter what we always think about reading and completing these series, but to no avail.

This challenge is devised for this very problem, and we are happy to present the 6th instalment of this extraordinary challenge - RMFAO 2020 Series Challenge.

RMFAO 2020 Series Challenge is here to give you an opportunity to complete the series you've longed to complete for a long time! You can even start with a fresh series and try to complete it within the year. Just pick a level you want to aim for and start reading.

Levels:
Level 1: Casual Reader: 1 series (easy)
Level 2: Frequent Reader: 2 series (moderate)
Level 3: Bookworm: 3 series (mildly strenuous)
Level 4: Bibliophile: 5 series (strenuous)
Level 5: Bookiopath: 6 series or more (challenging)

description
You can download this image here: https://thereadingbud.files.wordpress...

There are absolutely no rules for this challenge. All you have to do is complete as many series as you can, new and old alike.

Feel free to use this discussion board for recommending books, discussing the ones you're reading or really love and posting links to the books or your reviews.

Other challenges that you can participate in:
RMFAO 2020 Genre Challenge
RMFAO 2020 Classics Catchup
RMFAO 2020 Audiobook Challenge

If you're as crazy about reading and books as we then go ahead combining all or any challenges to spice up your reading lists!

You can also read blog posts relating to this challenge, other challenges or the group itself here: https://thereadingbud.com/rmfao/

Happy Reading!

I managed to choose six series from my monster list. Half of them only have two books though. There are some really long series I'm reading, but reading too many from the same series too close together usually causes me to burn out.

Shenandoah Sisters by Michael Phillips
3. The Color Of Your Skin Ain't The Color Of Your Heart (2004)
4. Together Is All We Need (2004)

Holly Barker by Stuart Woods
2. Orchid Blues (2001)
3. Blood Orchid (2002)
4. Reckless Abandon (2004)
5. Iron Orchid (2005)
6. Hothouse Orchid (2009)

Gaslight Mysteries by Victoria Thompson
21. Murder on Union Square (2018)
22. Murder on Trinity Place (2019)

Brides of Lancaster County by Wanda E Brunstetter
2. Looking For A Miracle (2001)
3. Plain and Fancy (2002)
4. The Hope Chest (2002)

Courtships of Lancaster County by Leslie Gould
2. Adoring Addie (2013)
3. Minding Molly (2014)
4. Becoming Bea (2014)

Stephanie Plum by Janet Evanovich
25. Look Alive Twenty-Five (2018)
26. Twisted Twenty-Six (2019)

A couple of these series may be ongoing, so just showing any already published. Not counting any new ones for 2020 since probably wouldn't be able to get them in time.

I'm changing my list. Decided not to do the Holly Barker series by Stuart Woods. Still plan to read it, but noticed one of the books has a crossover character from another of Woods' series and it's #10 in that series. I've only read the first three in that series (Stone Barrington) and don't want to read the Holly Barker one too early so probably won't get to it this year.

New list, only five series. Not sure yet if I'll end up adding a replacement.

I wasn't sure about which series to go for this year but happened to start the Twilight series in December, so I'll be finishing off that one first.
Done with New Moon by Stephenie Meyer - 3/5 stars. It is book #2 in The Twilight Saga.
Already started with the 3rd one, hoping it would be better than this one.

THIS BOOK IS THE REASON FOR ALL THE TWILIGHT HATERADE!!
This book was written only to cash in on the success of the earlier 3 books and had no plot or sense to it. I am so amazed by the author's blatant lack of care for her devout readers and fans and kind of even loathe her for it!

Yes I love fantasy, paranormal, and horror the most, but a good romance or mystery is fun every once in awhile. I prefer fiction over nonfiction I have enough stress as a nurse I don't need to read about other people's real life stress but I'm always willing to try recommendations before I say I don't like them.

Never too late, Renee! That's very ambitious with just over three months left in the year!

Finished Becoming Bea which wraps up the Courtships of Lancaster County. There are only four in this series. I thoroughly enjoyed each one.

4.) March Violets by Philip Kerr
4 stars. Book 1 in the Bernie Gunther noir mystery series, this one set in 1936 Berlin. Very well-written and well-researched, but pretty violent. Since I bought a combined volume of the first 3 books in this series (at a thrift store for less than $2!), I'll be continuing this series.

Finding books at thrift/charity shops is great. Never know what will turn up!

Finished The Hope Chest
Very predictable ending but fun getting there with one major surprise. This is the fourth and final book in Brunstetter's Brides of Lancaster County series. Not only does this read finish that series but it finishes the 2020 Series Challenge for me - a total of five series, although three of them were only four books long, so it's not as daunting as it may sound.

5.) The Pale Criminal by Philip Kerr (Bernie Gunther #2)
2 stars. Not as good as the first book, and very depressing. The mystery was pretty easy to figure out, too. I’ll still read the third book, though. Hopefully the series gets better.
