"How? How would you have know?" He asked her.
"By touch...smell...I don't know." She sighed
"You wouldn't have remembered that. It was impossible to know." He said.
"But I could have remembered something." She said
"She's at the store. She'll be back in a bit." He told her.
"I don't want to tell her." She whined
"I can tell her. Unless you don't want her to know." He said.
He kissed her head. "He's still up there?"
"Yeah. Can...can he stay the night with me? Please?" She bit her lip
He nodded. "He can stay with you as long as you want."
He nodded. "Yeah. You should probably go up to him now."
"You're the best dad ever." She hugged him tight
"Why are you so great? You're letting your seventeen year old daughter have her boyfriend over."
"Considering what just happened, you need him right now. And he needs you." He told her.
She nodded, sighing softly. "I'm grateful to have you and mom as my parents."
"We love having you as a daughter." He kissed her head.
"Really? I mean I guess all of your children are fucked up in their own way." She laughed
"It doesn't matter what you all do or what happens to you. Your mother and I love all of you." He told her.
"I'm also glad you and mom held it together after everything that has happened in this family." She said
"Well she's the one I love and just because a few bad things happened that doesn't that's changed." He told her.
She nodded and smiled, stepping back. "I love you dad."
"I love you too Alexis." He kissed her head.
"I'll see you in the morning." She smiled
He nodded and smiled back. "Okay. Night sweetie."
"Night." She blew him and went back upstairs to her room.
Mike was laying in her bed staring at the feeling.
"Hey," she murmured, closing her bedroom door behind her
She grabbed her hairbrush and sat down on her bed before running it through her hair.
He put his arm around her and kissed her cheek.
She leaned against him and combed her hair.
He held her and watched her. "You are so beautiful."
She blushed and hung her head, her hair covering her face.
He moved her hair away and kissed her cheek. "I love you."
She pressed her face against his shoulder. "I love you to,"
He laid back with her. "I missed holding you."
She pulled the covers over them and snuggled up to him. "Me to,"
He put his hand in hers and kissed her nose.
He smiled and kissed her back. "Why do you love me?"
He chuckled. "No but really, why?" He put his forehead on hers and looked in her eyes.
