SOLVED. Name of a middle-grade fantasy series about three siblings related to emeralds?? [s]

I read this book in 2014, I think, and I forgot the name. Here's some information about it:
- middle-grade fantasy
- trilogy
- one of the books (I think the first one) has the word 'emerald' or 'emeralds' in its name
- I think the last book is called 'book of the dead' or something?
- It's about three or four siblings and one of them is named Kate (I think Kate is the oldest girl)
- The first cover has the siblings crossing some sort of bridge with a waterfall and it has a primarily green theme
