What a fun read! Sam was a hoot and her antics never got old. I love a character that can't stay out of trouble and Sam fit the bill perfectly! Gregory was a very complex character and I can't wait to find out more about him. I have a feeling we barely scratched the surface in this book. I've wanted to read this for some time now since a lot of my friends enjoyed it...I'm glad I did! I'll be picking up book 2 very soon :)

This one was about a teen girl that realize that she is changing. She has been given DNA from a group of a ancient race of aliens. To make sure their DNA lives on. This one is an entertaining read. I did like Alice and her friend. However, I did not like that their was a lot of insta love with her boyfriend. The ending did hook me in wanting to see what happens in the next book.

Review: Hmm I'm on the fence of liking this and not. For a shifter story it was pretty straight forward. Both mc's were okay, I can say if it wasn't for Rivvie I would have not liked it at all. I would have liked to see both guys together while Aaron's family had the chance to love among them.

SYNOPSIS

The Blood Sword Legacy

Bound by a brotherhood forged in the hell of a Saracen prison,
eight Blood Swords -- mercenary knights for William the
Conqueror -- set out to claim their legacies the only way they can:
by right of arms, by right of victory, by right of conquest.

For Sir Rohan du Luc, known as the Black Sword, enemies fall easily beneath his assault...until he comes face-to-face with a foe more worthy than any battle-hardened knight. Bold and courageous though she is, Saxon maiden Isabel of Alethorpe cannot stop Rohan de Luc from seizing Alethorpe and its people in the name of William the Conqueror. Then Rohan demands not just the manor, but Isabel herself. She vows that her heart will remain her own, even if she is forced to allow him to lay claim to her body. But while the lady's lips say no, Isabel's traitorous body is awakened to desire by the seductive attentions of this potent invader. Can she remain true to her Saxon heritage and her hopes that her brother may have survived the battlefield, or will Sir Rohan's skilled touch capture her unwilling heart as surely as his prowess with his sword captured her father's lands?

I picked up this book thinking it would be more romance than historical fiction.
But to my surprise the author really did her historical research and weaved a wonderful story. I loved the characters, I enjoyed the secondary characters, and I like the cover. I certainly will be continuing with this series.

Nay Nay your book sounds good. Did it have any suspense or crazy drama in it? Every now and then I get in the mood for a historical but they have to have some heartache or suspense in them. When they're "fluffy" it drives me nuts lol.

I wouldn't say suspense.....it had exciting moments, it was a war. It certainly was not fluffy, but you did have your love/hate relationship.

Review: I loved this one way better than the first. I couldn't put it down. One I started it last night I stayed up until 5 this morning reading, then continuing on soon as I woke up. Both guys were amazingly intimate in their feelings of each other. They both went through such high emotions. I have such a new love for Ben. He went through so much stuff but he never wavered. Nikolaus went through a transformation. I can't wait to see what happens in book three.

This was really good! It kept me sitting on the edge of my seat throughout most of the book. It's such an awesome ensemble of characters. Even the bad guys are interesting. The big showdown almost seemed like it concluded the story arc. I have no idea where book 3 can go. I'm curious to see what Ms. Olson has in store for Scarlett and company now. This book was cram packed full of action and I loved every second of it!

SYNOPSIS

When Charlotte Kinder treats herself to a two-week vacation at Austenland, she happily leaves behind her ex-husband and his delightful new wife, her ever-grateful children, and all the rest of her real life in America. She dons a bonnet and stays at a country manor house that provides an immersive Austen experience, complete with gentleman actors who cater to the guests' Austen fantasies.
Everyone at Pembrook Park is playing a role, but increasingly, Charlotte isn't sure where roles end and reality begins. And as the parlor games turn a little bit menacing, she finds she needs more than a good corset to keep herself safe. Is the brooding Mr. Mallery as sinister as he seems? What is Miss Gardenside's mysterious ailment? Was that an actual dead body in the secret attic room? And-perhaps of the most lasting importance-could the stirrings in Charlotte's heart be a sign of real-life love?

It was a okay read. It had some funny moments, but it also had a lot of flat moments (which is not good in a book with 277 pgs) I really don't know what to write....it was a quick way to pass a couple of hours, but nothing really memorable or worth recommending.

Promises To Keep: A Novel by Patricia Sands

This is a good romantic read. This one is based in France. Sands writes the setting and characters beautifully. You can not help but fall in love with the characters. This one pulls you in and keeps you reading. However sometimes the heroine can be a little hard to deal with being a little too emotional but still a wonderful read. I will definitely read more in this series.

This book is about a alien that crash onto earth. She lands in the hands of CIA. The fun goes on from there. This book made me laugh the whole way through. However , it still has some great tense scenes and drama that made it a great read. I will definitely read more of this author.

SYNOPSIS

n her sixth engrossing outing, Jane Austen employs her delicious wit and family ties to the Royal Navy in a case of murder on the high seas. Somewhere in the picturesque British port of Southampton, among a crew of colorful, eccentric, and fiercely individual souls, a killer has come ashore. And only Jane can fathom the depths of his ruthless mind....

The Maritime details in this book were very interesting, I find the author does a great job with her historical facts for this time period. I really enjoy this series....this one being okay, I found her other books to be much better. What I like about this series is they are quick reads, but pack a great story.

I really teetered between a 4 and 5 star on this one. It had me glued to the pages and I found myself thinking about it when I wasn't reading it. Hands down my favorite in the series. Why....well lots and lots of awesome Holden moments. Also this one was quite dark and rather gruesome. Secret sure knows how to get herself in trouble and this one without spoiling anything was the big one lol! I can't wait to read the next one now.
