Synopsis
Set in a house on an olive grove in northern California, The Roots of the Olive Tree is a beautiful, touching story that brings to life five generations of women--including an unforgettable 112 year-old matriarch determined to break all Guinness longevity records--the secrets and lies that divide them and the love that ultimately ties them together.
Sometimes when you pick up a book, you want to tell about all its beauty. You want to bring that book to life, and never forget it. Well that is how I feel about this book, it was beautiful. I picked it up and did not put it down till the last page was read. But I can not tell you about the story because I could not do the book justice....YOU WILL HAVE TO READ IT FOR YOURSELF!!

So this just might be my favorite so far. Loved Rast he was great! While these do have their cheesy moments it's all good. This one does set up the next one nicely and I like that we have a new bad guy to hate too. I connected with the characters instantly and found myself turning the pages because of the suspense. I'll be reading the next one sooner rather than later.

Review: I really like this author, she's consistent with the romance. This book didn't disappoint, I really enjoyed both guys. I had the tears as well. Yay me for having the next two in the series and book 4 coming out Friday.

Synopsis
It is 1540, and Henry VIII has been on the throne for thirty-one years when Matthew Shardlake, the lawyer renowned as "the sharpest hunchback in the courts of England," is pressed to help a friend's young niece who is charged with murder.
Despite threats of torture and death by the rack, the girl is inexplicably silent. Shardlake is about to lose her case when he is suddenly granted a reprieve - one that will ensnare him again in the dangerous schemes of Thomas Cromwell, Henry VIII's feared vicar general.
In exchange for two more weeks to investigate the murder, Shardlake accepts Cromwell's assignment to find a lost cache of Dark Fire, an ancient weapon of mass destruction. Cromwell, out of favor since Henry's disastrous marriage to Anne of Cleves, is relying on Shardlake's discovery to save his position at court, which is rife with conspiracy
I'm still wondering why I waited so long to start this series. It is soooo good! The author does a wonderful job with the description of the time, it is so vivid, so real. The characters are well developed and the storyline very addictive. I would recommend this series to any fan of historical fiction, fiction in general, or mystery. So far I cannot find any flaws in this series, I hope it keeps continue with the other books.

I really enjoyed this one. This was a fun read. I had a little bit of trouble getting into this one. However I think it is because I did not read the first one. When I got to about page thirty or so I really started to get into it. Could not put it down. I am excited to see how the author wraps this one up.

Review: I loved this book, both guys definitely learned something of each other. Charlie grew in this story, he was a closeted man who had to learn to love himself and appreciate his other half. The entire cast was wonderful.
If I don't post...it's because I crashed. I'm fighting it now. Gonna keep reading my heart out. I'd i do crash I'll post when I wake up which is early.
If you don't post, just roll in the morning as well. I'm fighting my sleep might wake up in the middle of the night.

I read the first one last May or so and I couldn't remember what all happened. Since this is a trilogy its not recapped like a series book. It ruined the story for me trying to remember what happened and who is who. Now it ends with one heck of a twist. So I will read the next soon to avoid this problem!

Wow this was way better than I expected it to be. Good fun quirkiness and an awesome cast of characters! Fans of Molly Harper would probably enjoy this. Now for a rundown of these awesome characters :)
1. Our main character Astrid is a Prada loving vampire that has all sorts of mojo new vamps don't have. Throw in some parent issues, a smoking hot husband, a fierce and loyal heart and you have one heck of a heroine.
2. Pam, our foul mouth angel that looks like Oprah. She was a total hoot! Since Astrid's name has a$$ in it she has deemed that Astrid will be referred to as a$$crack, a$$whipe, etc!
3. Ethan, the smoking hot vampire prince who's in love with Astrid. He gives as good as he gets with Astrid and their relationship is a lot of fun!
4. Paris Hilton, yes that's her name goes from a timid goth vampire to being a best friend to Aster.
5. The Ken, who just happens to be the best and toughest fairy on the block who looks like Arnold but has no fashion sense.
And there's many more! This book was a riot and it was a super fun read. It ended with a bit of a cliffhanger so I'll be reading book 2 very soon!

Synopsis
Meet Phillipe Charboneau: the illegitimate son and unrecognized heir of the Duke of Kentland. Upon the Duke’s death, Phillipe is denied his birthright and left to build a life of his own. Seeking all that the New World promises, he leaves London for America, shedding his past and preparing for the future by changing his name to Philip Kent. He arrives at the brink of the American Revolution, which tests his allegiances in ways he never imagined.
When you want a good historical fiction book (or a good book in general) the best author to turn to is John Jakes. I just loved his North and South Trilogy! And I was not disappointed in the start of this series . The history is so vivid and detailed. The romance and adventure were exciting, and you almost believe that the characters like Ben Franklin and Sam Adams are still here, they were so real. An excellent book.
(Great now I have another series to read, this one with 8 books, lol)
Nay Nay I read all of those years ago and they're wonderful. I love his writing though.
was really good :)

Review: This was disappointing because we had to couples who I asked so much more of. I felt like we got cheated in this book, while it was the usual fast love, smut level and sugar it just lacked the usual strength of her previous books. The Sawyer boys and The Drake boys make perfect mates though.

This is an interesting one. The main character is self called "fixer". In reality he is murderer that kills people in unique ways. Serge is a interesting one alright. However Dorsey's writing makes him so readable. I enjoy the crazy cast of characters in this one to. Will probably pick up some other books in this series.
