review:
I like this one. It is a nice romance. This one is about a man protects a witness and the chemistry goes on from there. This one is a very fast read. I like all the characters and definitely will read others in the series.

Synopsis

In one moment, high school teacher and single mother Brooke Davenport interrupts a vicious assault, saves a young woman’s life, and attracts the attention of a serial killer.
Sixteen years ago, Brooke lost her roommate to a brutal murder. Now she teaches women’s self-defense, still trying to heal from the guilt and grief that plague her. Convinced the predator knows his victims and is stalking his prey online, she is determined to find him before he strikes again. Her brother’s friend, Luke has the computer expertise to help. But Brooke’s unexpected desire for Luke complicates her investigation, and her fixation with the case provokes a deadly reaction from the killer.

Injured in terrorist bombing overseas, computer expert Luke Holloway is still haunted by flashbacks of his young assistant’s death in the explosion. But Luke can’t refuse the request of a deployed friend to look after his sister, Brooke. Taking on responsibility for Brooke’s safety threatens Luke’s tenuous recovery, especially after he develops feelings for her that transcend a promise to a friend. When Brooke saves a young girl from a brutal assault and becomes a killer’s obsession, Luke vows to protect her at all costs.

I stumbled on this author by accident, and I am glad, she is great and I love this series. It's full of suspense, romance, great story line and fast paced reading. I highly recommend this author.

Review: I love this series. I think this was the first one that I really cried through. It was a lot of things going on in this book and the romance took a huge back seat, and I was okay with that. I didn't really felt that chemistry with Keita & Ragnar as oppose the the other couple but I could care less, because I was enthralled with the things in this book. Finally we get some info on Izzy & Eibhear, freaking pissed that their book isn't next but I'll eventually get to them!

review: I thought this book was interesting. It was a unique look at bullying and the response to that bullying. I enjoyed the characters. I like that they were not the typical teenagers. I did have a little hard time getting into the authors writing style. However, once I did I read this one very quickly. I would definitely read the next in the series.

Probably my least favorite in the series. It wasn't as funny as the other two. Still some very classic Nina parts though lol. She's what really makes the series for me. Got to know Will better in this one and I think I'm officially Team Will now. The ending had a bomb dropped so I'll probably be reading book 4 soon.

One of my favorite quotes from this book:
“But I’m still human, and I was still shot at. And, Nina, I swear to God, if you say that being mistaken for a werewolf is proof positive I need to wax in the winter, I will drive a stake through your heart myself.”

Review: The best in the series so far. OMG, it was a breath of fresh air. I didn't have to go through any type of mystery really. I wanted this to be so much longer. Alex was amazing. I really adored him, and I could see why Dal fell in love with him. I loved how they were able to come together, and Alex finally has a family of his own to call his.

SYNOPSIS:

Libby Day was seven when her mother and two sisters were murdered in “The Satan Sacrifice" of Kinnakee, Kansas.” She survived—and famously testified that her fifteen-year-old brother, Ben, was the killer. Twenty-five years later, the Kill Club—a secret secret society obsessed with notorious crimes—locates Libby and pumps her for details. They hope to discover proof that may free Ben. Libby hopes to turn a profit off her tragic history: She’ll reconnect with the players from that night and report her findings to the club—for a fee. As Libby’s search takes her from shabby Missouri strip clubs to abandoned Oklahoma tourist towns, the unimaginable truth emerges, and Libby finds herself right back where she started—on the run from a killer.

This was a dark thriller that I enjoyed reading. The story was told in different points of view, I think all readers would feel a different outcome because of the way it was written. For me, it worked and I would recommend it to all readers.

Review: I really like this book. I have not read the other two books but was able to jump in and follow. It was a very fun epic fantasy read. I loved all the different types of characters in the book. I also enjoyed the world building as it suck me in as soon as a started to read. I also enjoyed the author style of writing. All in all a very pleasant reading adventure.

This was my least favorite in the series. It got a tad cheesy at times. For a regular old human Joe is the best though. Nicki & Joe are put to the test in this one and Joe really comes through. Sammy aka the devil is still after Nicki and he doesn't pull out the stops in this book. It ends almost like a final book, everything comes together pretty well. From my understanding the next book is the last so I'm not sure where Ms. Garvey can go from here.

NayNay Servants' Hall A Real Life Upstairs, Downstairs Romance by Margaret Powell

Roll: 9
Space: 41
Alternate: more than two people on cover
Date: 12/20/14
Rate: 3.5 stars

Synopsis

Powell tells the true story of Rose, the under-parlourmaid to the Wardham Family at Redlands, who took a shocking step: She eloped with the family's only son, Mr. Gerald.

Going from rags to riches, Rose finds herself caught up in a maelstrom of gossip, incredulity and envy among her fellow servants. The reaction from upstairs was no better: Mr. Wardham, the master of the house, disdained the match so completely that he refused ever to have contact with the young couple again. Gerald and Rose marry, leave Redlands and Powell looks on with envy, even as the marriage hits on bumpy times: "To us in the servants' hall, it was just like a fairy tale . . . How I wished I was in her shoes."

Once again bringing that lost world to life, Margaret Powell trains her pen and her gimlet eye on her "betters" in this next chapter from a life spent in service. Servants' Hall is Margaret Powell at her best—a warm, funny and sometimes hilarious memoir of life at a time when wealthy families like ruled England.

Powell's first book BELOW STAIRS was a Memoir that inspired "Upstairs, Downstairs" and "Downton Abbey", and being a HUGE fan of Downton Abbey, I thought I would give this author a read.
I liked the book, it was informative and readable. The reason for the 3.5 star rating is because it was a bit repetitive, and for a book that was under 200 pages it was a little annoying.
I never read BELOW STAIRS, which a lot of the reviews say it is a much better read...I will be picking this book up and give it a try.

Review: I absolutely loVed the book all over again. I'm introduced to the wonderful Ben and resilient Gavin. I really appreciated the dynamics between the two, it just wasn't about the BDSM relationship. It showed both guys can love someone else and still be happy and true to themselves. Throw in a serial killer killing men in the bdsm world, but Gavin having to deal with his accepting of his sexuality and his marriage ending to bitter ass Victoria whom I have no love for. I'm probably going to re-read book two again as well.
