Yeah Jenne, hopefully. The crazy thing this was an arc from an author and the book doesn't come out until December.

This series is a fun cozy mystery series. However this one was not my favorite of the series . I like the plot of this one the main character is one a cruise with a friend and her mother in law. I do like the main character still and love the foodie things that are in this one. But the side characters killed for me. They were all a little bit whinny and mean. One character complain about having to go on a free cruise for the whole book. All in all I will read others in the series hopefully with better side characters.

Review: This one start is for Anson and the damn cat. The book was ridiculous. This whole book was for a ploy or a damn bet. What are we high schoolers, seriously I expect it from the straight boys but but the gay boys. I know that's sexist but it's my damn opinion. Never again will I read from this author.

This may just be my favorite in the series! Lots going on, the action never stopped and I found myself chuckling a time or two. Someone is bringing villains from horror movies to the real world where they're murdering people, there's someone using black magic in Chicago that Harry is suppose to be investigating, and lots and lots going on in Harry's personal life. The who's and the why's were shocking and I'd never have suspected it! Great moments with Thomas too who's one of my favorites. A lot was explained to as to why Charity treats Harry the way she does. Overall this was a very busy book (hence the length, it was a long one!) and a wonderful addition to Harry's oddball world. Can't wait to read the next one! And as usual James Marsters totally rocked it!
Good roll Mika! The alternate is a title that starts with K.
I think I'm gonna read a 1st in a series with
(I'm kinda in a funk so that might change)

Synopsis:
A brush with death is all Kate Rollins needs to realize that her life has to change. With her marriage failing and her young son aching for attention, Kate is ready to make a bold move -- and an inheritance from the grandmother she never knew is her chance to turn everything around. The rundown cafe in Lost Peak, Montana is a far cry from her high-powered job in Los Angeles, but Kate is eager for a taste of life on her own -- and handsome Chance McLain won't change her mind. Until he uncovers her son's secrets -- and knocks down Kate's carefully constructed defenses. Kate may be determined to resist him, but Chance can't ignore the desire he feels for her -- or the suspicion that somebody wants her to leave Lost Peak. With the promise of a future together tangled up in the ghosts of her past, Kate and Chance must believe in each other before they can believe in love.
This book was good, it was a fast pace, page turner. The romance of the story had depth, with both the pain and the joy of a relationship. The suspense of the story kept me guessing till the end. I definitely well be continue with this trilogy.

Omg, I decided to do a re-read on the train home of this. This was one of my very first GFY books and I truly loved it. Austin with all his snark and sarcasm. He was going to have Peter by any means necessary. I really enjoyed Peter with those damn bunny slippers. Cai as always is still my baby. I've been patiently waiting book two for 2 years I believe.

Well this was a very interesting take on angels. Neat world building, neat characters, cool setting, the whole book worked. My only complaint is what the H.E. double hockey sticks kind of ending was that! I'm very glad book 2 is out because that left me wanting (obviously)! I've put off reading this book because a lot of times when I've enjoyed a series that's ended by an author I'm overly critical of a new one. Well let me tell you my friends that was silly and unwarranted. I may have actually preferred this to her Elemental books. I'll be reading book 2 very soon needless to say.
Just a reminder:Thanksgiving-Teams will roll the Sunday before (11/23, no roll on Thursday (11/27), and that roll's deadline will be Sunday (11/30) and at this point the game resumes it's normal schedule.
If you don't think you can manage this week's roll due to the holiday just let me or your captain know. Thanks!

I really love this one! It was a retelling of phantom of the opera. The writing was beautiful, and you get pulled into this story from the start. I loved the main character. She was very sweet and caring. However she was no pushover. Just a wonderful book. Highly recommend this one. Definitely will be reading the next in the series.

Synopsis:
Egypt, 1400s BC. The pharaoh’s pampered second daughter, lively, intelligent Hatshepsut, delights in racing her chariot through the marketplace and testing her archery skills in the Nile’s marshlands. But the death of her elder sister, Neferubity, in a gruesome accident arising from Hatshepsut’s games forces her to confront her guilt...and sets her on a profoundly changed course.
Hatshepsut enters a loveless marriage with her half brother, Thut, to secure his claim to the Horus Throne and produce a male heir. But it is another of Thut’s wives, the commoner Aset, who bears him a son, while Hatshepsut develops a searing attraction for his brilliant adviser Senenmut. And when Thut suddenly dies, Hatshepsut becomes de facto ruler, as regent to her two-year-old nephew.
Once, Hatshepsut anticipated being free to live and love as she chose. Now she must put Egypt first. Ever daring, she will lead a vast army and build great temples, but always she will be torn between the demands of leadership and the desires of her heart. And even as she makes her boldest move of all, her enemies will plot her downfall....
This book just took me away....it did not disappoint. I really love my historical fiction, but for some reason I have a hard time with Egyptian Literature. But this was a winner. For sure a must read for anyone.

Ok so I know I probably should duck for cover after this next comment...I thought this was better than Demonica. I absolutely loved it! A very interesting vamp world. It's unusual to see the humans on top vs the vamps. What really made this book for me though was Nicole. She was awesome! She finds out everything she's ever been taught to believe is wrong and instead of having a breakdown she rolls with the punches and comes out stronger because of it. While Riker was the perfect tortured hero it wasn't over done and it didn't prevent him from "opening his eyes" like so many tortured hero books don't do till the bitter end. I am now officially kicking myself for not reading this sooner and I'll be reading book 2 very very soon!

I really liked this book. I have a thing for russians that isn't normal. Royal was a recent college grad whose life wasn't going good, broke going to interviews and using your last money for food and bus money was driving her crazy. I did find her naive at times, but I did understand the amount of love, and loyalty she put into loving Dmitry. He made it easy to fall in love with and be blinded by what was in front of you. Dmitry was definitely a business man. He was gorgeous, gawd I really love him. He had such a force written about him on these pages I just found thoroughly attractive. I do love this series.

this one really surprised me. I really like this one. It is about a vet. She has a highly complicated life at home. She takes in her mom after she gets into a n car accident. Family secrets come to light that affect Geneva and her husband. Her mom also has an impact on the children in the household. This one has its disturbing moments. However it is written very well.
