He shrugged, "nothing big, I've been saving for a long time. Most of this stuff was passed down to me," he puts his bag down, "I'm a writer. I write horror books on creatures like us. I'm working on a vampire trilogy right now."
"It doesn't have a title yet. I normally do that last," he shrugged.

"That Clover. I found her in a clover field," he went to the kitchen, "hungry?" He took out some drinks.
She smile as she slowly approached Clover. "Yes, what do you have," she asked as she cautiously petted Clover's head.
"I have almost anything. I can make something if you want," he offered.
Clover purred and let the new girl pet her.

He nodded and started making spaghetti, "I have water, juice, and milk, if you get thirst," he pored a glass of orange juice and sipped it.
She frowned. "Don't give me a negative opinion before I even read them." The she smile, "You never know I could become one of your overzealous fans."
She absentmindedly continued stroking Clover's fur. Alarm then flashed through her face. "Wait, do you live alone?"
He looked at her, surprised by her alarm, "yes..?" He looked around the one room. You could see his 'bedroom' and living room just by standing here. It was open concept, so there was only a wall to hide the bathroom.
"I should be fine," he insisted and looked her face over, "why did you ask?" He asked, feeling like he needed to know.
"Well I thought the other girl was nice but there were two guys waiting in the apartment. But don't worry I remember Mir hated her when they were together. And you can't be evil if I already want to hit you sometimes." She said grinning using a totally random thought process.
She looked at her plate of spaghetti and sighed. "Maybe you can teach me how to cook too. It was a blow to my self-esteem when I burned my spaghetti the first time I cooked."
He smiled gently, "I don't mind teaching you, could be fun," he led her to the living room area. He sat on the chair so she could have the couch.
He shrugged, "you can make anything fun if you do it right." He started eating, "could use pepper," he put his plate on the coffee table and went to get salt and pepper.
She tentatively took a bite from her plate and almost moaned from the taste. Closing her eyes she savored the taste. At least, until she felt Mir climb onto her lap. "Nope I am not sharing get your own boy."
"No, he isn't allowed to have it but it doesn't stop him from trying." She said taking a few more bites from her plate.
He nodded and brought the pepper and salt to the table. He sat down again and went back to eating.
Clover attacked a ball of purple yarn on the floor. She rolled around and started getting tangled.

She giggled at Clover's antics and got up to help the poor tangled animal. Mir seeing his chance slowly inched towards her unattended plate.
Jake leaned over and picked up her plate, saving it from Mir.
Clover purred happily when she was helped.

Walking back over she spots her moved plate and a sulking Mir. Laughing she says,"Thanks for saving my food."
"Tragic life events," he stated, dragging his fork threw his spaghetti, "my foster parents actually suggested I wrote, and my foster sister submitted one of my short stories into a publisher and I got started from that."
He nodded, "I don't really like talking about it," he said plightly, not wanting to be rude about dropping it.
She smiles sadly. "I understand I wouldn't want to talk about mine either. But what about your foster family?"
He shrugged, "I was adopted at sixteen and lived with them until I was eighteen. I have a mom, dad, and little sister."
Jake thought, "a year younger. Or older. I'm not sure. She's turned nineteen so meany times I lost track," he chuckled lightly. "She doesn't like the thought of growing up."
"Her natural hair colour is blond, but last I saw her is was blue, she's got green eyes, freckles, she's average hight, small built," he listed, trying to think of his to describe her, "she's funny, clumsy, but really sweet."
