Jimmy Great stories. Thanks for posting. I feel helpless fighting it. In my state, the red sections are the rich seacoast, the rich towns, and the poorest areas.

A book that illuminates that phenomenon is "Deer Hunting With Jesus." I recommend everyone read it.

Jimmy It's interesting to read the reviews of that book, Lisa. The one star reviews all ranting about socialism. That is part of the problem. They don't get how good government can help the poor.

Jimmy This man was elected to the Colorado state legislature:

I'm equally frustrated, Jimmy. They've been told incessantly that government is the enemy, and they've been deprived of an education that would enable them actually to understand the issue, and invocation of the magic-anathematization word, "socialism," suppresses their reasoning abilities -- and they've been listening to people like that Colorado state legislator -- so I'm afraid they won't ever get it. I've read excerpts from "Deer Hunting," Lisa, and it might not be a bad choice for a designated read. Would you mind if I posted the link to your "more complete review" -- or care to do it yourself?
