I was a bit stumped for a word association challenge this month, until Karen suggested doing a theme challenge. Here are some themes I found for November...

November Themes:
Thanksgiving (American Holiday)
Gratitude, Family Gatherings
Native American Heritage
National Novel Writing Month
Writing
Elections & Politics
Aviation History
Model Trains
Transportation
Peanut Butter

So, the challenge is to read one book that somehow relates to a November theme. The title does NOT need to reflect the theme but you need to explain how your book is connected thematically. For example, perhaps a character eats a peanut butter sandwich, is a pilot, or writes novels.

Also, Feel free to suggest other November appropriate themes.

I've got Bird by Bird: Some Instructions on Writing and Life.

Think this will fit in with NaNoWriMo and Writing themes?

Absolutely! Love that book!

Sandy What about a theme relating to Remembrance Day and the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the Great War?

Lol. That should have read transportation. It's both aviation and model train month. I'll edit when I can. ;)

Sandy Haha. Good old spell-check. That's logical, considering it follows Aviation History and Model Trains. I guess that I was too tored last night to be logical! :D

Sandy Sorry. That should be "tired". Love these tiny keyboards!

Tracey | 916 comments I think Code Name Verity will count as Aviation History. There's enough about world war II planes in it.

Going with The Prime Minister by Anthony Trollope.
Considered one of his Palliser/Parliamentary novels.
It's American Election Day thats in November and this is British politics, but I'm going for it.
Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité! (Or something French that's spelled correctly.)
