For our November discussion, what better topic than food and eating? Below are the titles selected by our poll, but feel free to share your thoughts on any books you've read that included a focus on the culinary!

Chew, Vol. 1: Taster's Choice by John Layman, Rob Guillory (Illustrator)

The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake by Aimee Bender

Consider the Fork: How Technology Transforms the Way We Cook and Eat by Bee Wilson

Gulp: Adventures on the Alimentary Canal by Mary Roach

message 2: by Sarah (new)

Because our number one vote getter was Chew, Vol. 1: Taster's Choice, I'm going to talk up another food centered graphic novel: Relish: My Life in the Kitchen by Lucy Knisley. Lucy is known for her cartoony, auto-bio comics, and Relish focuses on her life long relationship with food and eating, from early memories to her mother's catering business to foreign travel. My favorite part are the illustrated recipes. Relish was also one of the titles in our 2014 Tournament of Books: carnegiestout.blogspot.com
