Sumit Singla (sumitsingla) Chaitalee, self-promotion isn't allowed on monthly read threads. Hence, your post here will be deleted. However, I do see you've already posted in the relevant thread. :)

Zaara It is December so something Christmassy (dickens) or wintry (set in Russia or osten ard?) or just about hope and a fresh start (although this would be better for Jan)?
Not very helpful, is it?
I'm gonna vote for the book I read every Christmas Eve - A Christmas carol. No one can say they can't get their hands on a copy.....

message 20: by Jarvis (new)

Jarvis I second A Christmas Carol :) is my fav as well ^_^

message 21: by Zaara (new)

Zaara Thanks Gehna, there are 400 plus people in this group so finding a book that everyone can get their hands on means more people will be tempted to join the monthly reads. More about me, I got started on GR only just now, though I did upload about a third of my books last year...I'm too late for for all the 2014 challenges tho and some are....
Mods, will these be around in 2015 as well?

message 22: by Anirudh (new)

Anirudh I third Boys life.

Ajuli Tulsyan | 1 comments So many I can recommend....well a few are - PS I love you(Eric Segal), Message in a bottle (Nicholas Spark), Atlas shrugged (Ayn Rand), Namesake (Jhumpa Lahiri), etc

message 26: by Srividya (new)

Srividya Vijapure (theinkedmermaid) Lovely nominations everyone.

@Samarth and Ajuli - This is a thread where we basically nominate one book that we all can read next month. All your suggestions are great but for the polls, we would require that you nominate One book and second another from the list of books already nominated.

Could you two please edit your posts to include just one nomination and one second? Else it will become impossible to add your suggestions for voting. Thanks in advance :)

message 27: by Srividya (new)

Srividya Vijapure (theinkedmermaid) No nominations from my end. :)

And I second/third (well whatever number) V for Vendetta and Boy's Life. :)
