So much of the beauty of this story comes from the incredible descriptive passages of the B.C. interior.

Could this storyline be slipped into another place or time and still been just as powerful? How important was the setting to the story?

Anna (iudita) | 450 comments I think you could tell a similar story in any setting but the descriptions of the B.C. landscape make this story uniquely Canadian. It gives it an ambiance that you wouldn't get in another setting.

You know that's funny because I can picture that ledge perfectly as well. That certainly says something about an author when he can create such a vision with his words.
