‣ Tɪʟʟ Dᴇᴀᴛʜ Dᴏ Wᴇ Pᴀʀᴛ(view spoiler)[Whoever thought that the games of the Roman Coliseum were over . . . was dead wrong, because in a world that has long since seen entertainment – separated into a hierarchy and a proletariat – the games are all that matter. A has seen the dregs of the old world; thieving constantly, living in a band of peasants on the rough side of the kingdom . . . where the guards roam. They come around every now and again, and damn they’re smarter than people give them credit for. Snatched from her home and thrown into the games, A meets an assholeish character – B – who thinks for one reason or another that just because she’s around that he owns her. He’s oppressive, brutal, and abusive to any and all of his ‘players’, though you may as well call them slaves. People call them players though, probably makes them feel a little less like they’re killing people off for fun. A’s wits are endless, but no matter what she does, the games are inevitable; it’s impossible to escape without going through those gates. And so – those that she has made peace with will have to die, otherwise she’ll never get home.On the off hand – this prize that they talk about? It’s unlikely to exist, it’s an object of hope for the players . . . that the rule they’re under now will end, but it won’t. Some players are set free, but that’s only to keep this object of faith going, and they’re usually not in the best shape if they’re let go, because who wants a cripple doing their dirty work? (view spoiler)[Doubles Options⌦ C is B’s sibling – brother or sister, take your pick. Whether they are as bad as he is or not is totally up to whoever is playing him/her.⌦ C is a player in the game as well. Perhaps under the same family – B’s – or maybe from another’s.⌦ D is someone that A has known for ages, they’re also in the game, and used to have . . . Something between them. Whatever it was, it would certainly cause tension between the two if they were both trying for the prize at the end of the line because – who wants to murder someone they were that close to?⌦ D is simply another rival. (hide spoiler)]Guidelines⌦ With a character like B roaming around there will be sex. Whether we actually roleplay it or not is entirely up to you, but I have no problem with either. Of course it would go to messaging if we did. ⌦ Cursing is a duh. This isn’t a ditzy romance roleplay, this one gets down and dirty; into the nitty gritty stuff. ⌦ Be prepared for a lot of extra characters, as well as violence, and various action scenes. On her way with two other soldiers in escorting the young prince through the swarthy forest into the next kingdom he lashed out. The prince had become a traitor, killing the other two soldiers and thinking he had rid her of her own life before rushing off into the trees on the only damn horse he had left standing. [B] is a man of the forest, as are his people. They are rarely ever mentioned and as a mere right hand of the prince [A] has honestly never heard the forest dwellers. He finds her on the brink death and [A] is taken back to their village. These people aren't advanced, but they live in peace with one another, the village is prepared for war, but their warriors have hearts like no other she has ever encountered. She is regarded with unsure glances and quiet conversations amongst the men and women. What [A] doesn’t know: The prince is on the brink of death himself. Having been earlier knocked out and dragged away – all under the cover of the moon. He was imprisoned by the nasty trickster of a man posing to be him. The man that really left her for dead was a shape shifter who wants to take over the two lands for himself as a tyrant.Upon revelation it becomes apparent that if this was to actually happen then the village would be in danger. The forest has often been regarded as a nuisance, and it would be far easier to simply hack it all down. But these people are one with the forest (I realized this sort of sounds like Avatar …), and if that were to come to light they would all be wiped out with their homeland. It’s either that or move and they are stubborn enough not to do that, this has always been there life. And finally an outsider was beginning to understand it. -Inspired by The Prince by Megan Derr, which is seriously the best short story ever. It’s free on iBooks ;) -[A] and [B] aren't human, they have human aspects, but they aren't human by any means. However it’s not a world of much magic. The elves rule because of their capability to cooperate with the nature around them and work with it to bend into something else. That’s the only real magic that’s known. -The trickster’s character is, yes, inspired by Loki. It just turned out that way, I couldn’t help myself, I recently watched Thor! ^^” (hide spoiler)]‣ Tᴇᴍᴘᴛᴀᴛɪᴏɴ(view spoiler)[The snake to have taunted Adam and Eve – what a reputation to have. It’s all my fault, is it? Well get this, that wasn’t what happened. Where God created good and purity, he also created evil and sinning hearts. Eve was the good, Adam was the bad. The whole story had not been told, nor would it change from here on out. Adam had his way with things. Taunting Eve to do as she was not told the apple sent her into a whirl of pain. And with her I went. Falling into Adam’s twisted limbo as he cheated fate and stabbed his fingers into everything he could to claw his way to the top. To the big guy, in this case that big guy may be God, but it is more likely the company of Lucifer himself. The first angel to have fallen. While Eve and I are dowsed in our own subconscious war wages on beyond both of us. Within Limbo there is creatures like you have never seen (I am not included, as my form is shiftable, despite awkward body disadvantage), and all these creatures are there to hurt you. To make sure that you never reach your goal. Adam must be stopped, but not only is Eve unstable, but I have no ideas as to how to get back to Eden – the wilting heaven on Earth. -I’m not going to lie, I’d like to be Eve ^^ (hide spoiler)]
Name: Devlin Cruelle Nickname: Sir, DeVil (view spoiler)[people seem to like 'heartless' as well, though it wouldn't be his first choice (hide spoiler)] Age: Twenty-Two Date of Birth: March 28th Appearance:
Faceclaim: NipahCos Height: 5'10"Eye Color: Murky GreenHair Color: Raven black, though an unnatural white mares the other half of his locks ... he makes it work. Markings: "Mare this flawless skin? Mm, well darling ... only if it's with your teeth."Devlin always lived a charmed life; velvet curtains, satin sheets, and fur coats. As an only child his parents would've spent their time searching for a unicorn if he asked for it, except he never seemed to be satisfied. He hated them with most of his being, and they let him. Devlin was always a vulgar child, one who turned to violence in times of desperation and anger -- and because of this they withheld pets from him. He grew upset and lashed out, but neither of them granted him with a dog of any kind. Devlin seemed just to grow more restless over the years, and his parents began to forget he existed. They weren't any sort of parents -- he had everything except for what he wanted *cough*spoiled brat*cough*. Over the years Devlin was sure to get what he desired, and all of the time he spent pent up in his home - pampered - was taken out on the animals he managed to get his hands off. Now at the ripe age of twenty two Devlin Cruelle's name is known as one of the Underworld. He's filthy rich and can't get enough of the blood of others on his hands. He makes his money illegally of course: drug deals, smuggling, etc. etc. He's certainly not a man that you want to associate with. And, oh, all the poor woman that thought they could fix him. Ha. Devlin likes to get his hands dirty.
