Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4698 comments Not really.

But I am getting excited now. Only two sleeps to expected arrival.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 61757 comments You mean 'Voyage'.

And I hope you ordered one for me as well. I'll collect it on Christmas Eve.

Michelle (Spiderg1rl) (spiderg1rl) | 735 comments You had me lol

I am really looking forward to the reviews to see if it's worth the upgrade.

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4698 comments I am normally right off on timing but my kk gave up the ghost a couple of days before the announcement. I had no excuse to delay.

What are you planning to read for the christening of this device?

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 61757 comments Did you get a cover as well?

You can get me a green one.

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4698 comments That is a good question. I might go for Richard coles biography if it is on kindle.

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4698 comments The Reverend Richard Coles is a parish priest in Northamptonshire and a regular host of BBC Radio 4's Saturday Live. He is also the only vicar in Britain to have had a number 1 hit single: the Communards' 'Don't Leave Me This Way' topped the charts for four weeks and was the biggest-selling single of its year. Fathomless Riches is his remarkable memoir in which he divulges with searing honesty and intimacy his pilgrimage from a rock-and-roll life of sex and drugs to a life devoted to God and Christianity.

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4698 comments Didn't get a case. It is a going commando

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 61757 comments My paperwhite is still commando.

But as you're buying me the Voyage, I'll have a green cover as well.

Doesn't look like you could go wrong with that one!

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4698 comments Saw it in waterstones yesterday. It was quite nice flicking through a real hardback book but I don't think the idea of printing on dead trees will ever catch on.

But how do you charge its battery?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 36808 comments From a treadmill, David.

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4698 comments It hasn't got a back light.

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 9086 comments Indefinite battery life though Simon...

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4698 comments My voyage has been shipped... Really. Just got an email from amazon

Michelle (Spiderg1rl) (spiderg1rl) | 735 comments Awesome, I read some reviews yesterday they were pretty impressed with it. The main downside on almost all of the reviews was the price.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

I ordered a Voyage but then cancelled partly because of the price but also because I still love the Paperwhite with Amazon case because it is so easy to read in bed lying on my side. The Voyage case only holds it upright. If anyone knows of a sideways opening case with auto turn on perhaps they could let me know.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 61757 comments just ordered my voyage! having it sent to dave's parents to save simon the hassle.
