Shinobu paced nervously outside the hospital. Her throat was dry; she swallowed hard, wishing she had thought to bring some water.

'... Why am I even here?' she thought bitterly, staring down at her feet. 'That's over and done with. I-'

Her sullen thoughts came to a sudden halt as something caught her eye. The defense attorney whipped around, following the black-haired girl all the way down the street, until she vanished from sight.

'... That's the way to Wright's office!' she finally realized, startled. 'That's odd... what would a prosecuting attorney want with...?'

Her lips tugging downwards into a deep frown, Shinobu followed her.
