Mary-Sarah I recently went to go see Colleen Hoover at a book signing and she said someone bought the movie rights for Hopeless! Now just because the rights have been purchased, sadly that does not automatically mean it'll be made (remember Jamie McGuire and Beautiful Disaster?).

But now that we know this tid bit of info, do you want to see it on the big screen? Would it be better as just a book? Who do you want to see play Sky and Holder? What parts do you think they will take out or change?

If the movie is made, this means even more popularity for Colleen Hoover!

Humnagul Thats great news! :D yay!

Susie AHHH!! I really hope they go through with it! LOVE this book! I think it would make an epic movie!!

Gayatri I absolutely love this book and would love to see it in film but only because I'm a huge [and biased] Hoover fan. I don't think it would be a movie that would attract a diverse audience. If I had no idea this was based on a book I'd think it just be a similar to the Taylor Lautner movie Abduction.

Megan ^^^I kind of agree with this. I don't think too many people would crowd around to see a missing person movie. There will also be people like me who just loves watching movies so I'd see it trailer unseen even if I never read the book. BUT! Maybe with all the buzz and plot twist word of mouth will help it.

I'm happy this and Losing Hope are both books so they can pull good stuff from both books. I hope they amplify their childhood and Holder becoming "The boy who lost Hope" more. They're going to take out the giving water scene I know for sure and maybe Six won't be in it either. Then how will she get her cellphone? They may let Breckin.

Ebs this would be an awesome movie i would def go see it and make my friends go to!

Leah No way! That's really exciting! I think Hopeless is a great book and would do well in theaters (as long as it stays pretty true to the story line). Colleen deserves the recognition for her amazing books!

Poleng woohoo!! can't wait... ☺

Dia The depth of this book and it's relation to real-life stories will definitely make it a good movie.

Oh what the hell! Just turn all of Colleen's books into movies! Maybe the movie production business will shoot up the sky, because movies nowadays is nothing compare to Colleen's writing.

TinaBina I really loved the book so i would love to see how it plays out on the silver screen

Deniece Charlotte This book is my most favorite among all of Coho Books, probably among all of the books I have ever read. Although it would be very pleasant to have a movie adaptation of it, I'm kinda scared that it would ruin the story as most movie adaptations do. But if the inevitable happens, I will support whatever is good for the amazing author who may have changed my life, even though she doesn't know of my existence.

Sara OMG this is one of my favourite books! I can't believe its becoming a movie and honestly I'm a bit scared. Sometimes really good books shouldn't be made into movies. If the movie is bad - which they mostly are - the imagination is ruined

Jennifer Hinsman Exciting! Would Zac Efron be too old.... I'm trying to remember ages of Sky and Holder?? Nick Jonas recently did some acting, he'd be good!

Cara Delevingne, Victoria Justice, Elle Fanning?

I don't care about the female lead, but I think Ross Lynch would make a awesome Holder.

i think paul wesley would make a really awsome holder. If I can recall, they are seniors

Bücherratte I would like better to see a "Slammed" movie!!

message 17: by Emma (new) - rated it 5 stars

Emma I think this story would make a great movie but the book is so long which means that a lot of scenes will be dropped and I'm not sure how I'll feel if some of my favorite scenes are dropped.

Also someone mentioned Nick Jonas playing Holder and I could kind of see that one.

Keeley This post is 3 years old... think it's safe to say they won't be making a film.
