Carolien (carolien_s) | 115 comments I suppose Rosalie's situation was predictable, yet sad. It still happens in many societies that young girls are married to older men with sad consequences. I

It seemed like a fitting punishment, in my opinion.

What did you all think of her asking Agnes to visit her?

Andrea AKA Catsos Person (catsosperson) | 315 comments I have just completed ch 23. I will read 24 tonight or tomorrow.

I think that Lady Ashby invited Agnes to visit her because:

1) no one cares about her in her husband's house. I mean she is disliked by husband and mother-in-law alike and she can't have her way

2) she needs someone to listen to her complaints and is bored silly

Only her governess, who does care deeply.

They are a stark contrast to eachother.
