Steven Whitacre (stevenwhitacre) | 2 comments ^^ A great book people! I read French Illusions a while back and loved it.

My memoir is also just $2.99 at amazon

It is My Father's Prostitute: Story of a Stolen Childhood. It has 4.7 stars after 35 reviews, with one reviewer likening it to "the movie Rocky", and is currently a finalist in the Stargazer Literary Awards for life changing books.

"Highly recommended reading! Fast-paced, honest and inspiring." -- Stargazer Literary Prizes

"My Father's Prostitute: Story of a Stolen Childhood is inspiring -- Whitacre's life story shows that there can be recovery from even the most horrific past. His recovery had not been easy, and there had been plenty of missteps along the way, but ultimately this brave and resilient man learned how to vanquish his demons. My Father's Prostitute: Story of a Stolen Childhood chronicles that triumph and is highly recommended." -- Jack Magnus for Readers' Favorite

Lucinda Clarke | 11 comments Walking over Eggshells is a gentle read about growing up with my mother who had a personality disorder. As if that was not bad enough, I made things worse for myself by marrying a man who was very intelligent but no common sense. We moved from one country to another, often one step ahead of the creditors and looking back I can';t believe the situations I got myself into.
Priced at $3.99 and available on all the Amazon kindle sites.

The first book in my autobiographical series is now available from Smashwords (also iBooks, Kobo, Barnes and Noble, Nook etc.) for $3.99.

Tears of Innocence - synopsis:

'At the age of five this young girl suffered a loss which was to have a massive impact upon the rest of her life. Her innocence, loving nature and incredible naivety combined with her natural beauty where taken advantage of by family and strangers. After escaping from attempted sexual abuse she falls into the hands of an occupying force who torture and violate her and leave her for dead. Rescued by a local family she is ultimately, after many hardships, restored to her relatives through whom she meets a foreign national. Domestic violence leading to attempted suicide, near insanity and the contemplation of murder follow.'

Autographed e-book also available. See Tears of Innocence by T. R. Robinson

Elizabeth Garrison | 12 comments I'd like to add mine to the list as its only 3.99. It's called, Wounds of the Father: A True Story of Child Abuse, Betrayal, and Redemption.

Wounds of the Father A True Story of Child Abuse, Betrayal, and Redemption by Elizabeth Garrison

In the bestselling tradition of Smashed and Glass Castle, this raw, eye-opening memoir tells the powerful story of Elizabeth Garrison’s fractured childhood, descent into teenage drug addiction, and struggle to overcome nearly insurmountable odds. Elizabeth invites the reader behind the closed doors of a picture-perfect Christian family to reveal a dark, hidden world of child abuse, domestic violence, and chilling family secrets all performed in the name of God under the tyrannical rule of her father. Like countless teenage girls, Elizabeth turns to drugs and alcohol to escape. With smack-you-in-the-face honesty, Elizabeth chronicles the dark realities and real-life horrors of teenage drug abuse, living on the streets, foster homes, and treatment centers. She paints an unsparing portrait of scratching and clawing her way out of the grips of child abuse, addiction, and betrayal to find the strength within herself to save her own life.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Thanks for this opportunity!

Kaiylah Muhammad (kaiylahm) | 5 comments Out of the Cage Out of the Cage by Kaiylah Muhammad Many people's minds live in cages. People are limited to what they will accept and are stuck in their way of thinking. Seeing what I've seen and overcoming all that I've overcome has allowed me to be more open minded and look at life from different angles. To be "Out of the Cage" means to think freely and openly without being restricted by the status quo. This book contains thirty memoirs about the different demons we have within ourselves and how to deal with them.

In this book, I open up about being molested and how it affected my adulthood. I open about how my fears, my pride, my ego, my control issues, and overthinking have held me back from being the woman God designed me to be. I speak on the importance of forgiveness, empathy, and trusting God. I talk about how making mistakes is a necessity for growth. I also talk about the issues with social media, and how it gives people of false sense of themselves. The book is only 10,000 words; It's an eBook only. But I took it upon myself to make an audio version of it with my studio equipment in my apartment. If you purchase the eBook I will email you the audio version for FREE. Here's a list of some of the memoirs.

Mind over matter
Egos in love
You are who you are for a reason
Happiness is not one size fits all
Fear keeps oppression alive
Fear and Pride paralyzes
Who are you to judge?

The book is $3.50 on Lulu and $2.99 on all other sites. Most sites will let you read the first few memoirs for free.
