Aerulan | 1199 comments Can you tell us a little more info? This is really common plot and you don't have any details that would help to identify which version it might be.
How about the setting, was it contemporary, historical, if so when was it set?

When did you read it/how long ago? That will rule out books written after you read it. Was it new when you read it or older at the time?

Do you remember what she was doing at the house, if she was babysitting -and that wasn't just her former job before she went to work for him- do you remember how many kids he had or how old they were?

Anything about how he was supposed to have killed his wife? Was there a mystery element, did they have to figure out how the wife actually died/who killed her?

Here's a bunch of listopias about widowers in romance novels, you could take a look through them (if you haven't done this already) and see if any of them look familiar

tomoyo | 8 comments Yeah, it is a very common. I read it during my university year, so in the early 2000. the book is older and it's not historical. As I remember though it's vague, they live in a countryside. When I think of the story, the picture that came is a large field with green grass. I don't remember her former job or how she get there but she took care of the widower son. For sure he has son but not sure if he has more than one kids.

I don't remember any mystery element except the rumor of him killing his wife. It's mostly about the romance and I think the man did explain to her about his dead wife.

Thanks for the list, will go through and see if any of them is familiar. I thought it maybe one of harlequin books but haven't found one that suit the description.
