★ℕłℂØℓҾ★ (Nix) (ladyknightnix) | 5517 comments I don't really know a lot about this genre. I got the idea for it from past group challenges and the Listopia. But hopefully we can find a book that sounds interesting to us both! What kind of books do you like to read usually?

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

I don't much about this genre either. Cool and I agree. :)
Depends on the book and what I'm in the mood to read. What about you?

message 5: by ★ℕłℂØℓҾ★ (Nix), snowflakes and eyelashes (new)

★ℕłℂØℓҾ★ (Nix) (ladyknightnix) | 5517 comments I used to be mostly ya fantasy and sci-fi, but I've really expanded my tastes! My least favorite used to be contemporary (or realistic fiction), but I've read some from that genre recently that I've really enjoyed.

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

Contemporary does have some good books.

★ℕłℂØℓҾ★ (Nix) (ladyknightnix) | 5517 comments These are some good options!

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

All of them are good choices! Should we pick or still look?

message 17: by ★ℕłℂØℓҾ★ (Nix), snowflakes and eyelashes (new)

★ℕłℂØℓҾ★ (Nix) (ladyknightnix) | 5517 comments I'm leaning toward one of these ones:
23 points Mortal Engines (The Hungry City Chronicles, #1) by Philip Reeve
22 points Incarceron (Incarceron, #1) by Catherine Fisher
20 points Leviathan (Leviathan, #1) by Scott Westerfeld
14 points The Girl in the Steel Corset (Steampunk Chronicles, #1) by Kady Cross

All sound really good to me! Wanna do it by elimination? You eliminate one then I eliminate one til we have our winner?

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

That does sound alright. I'm leaning toward these ones:
Incarceron (Incarceron, #1) by Catherine Fisher
Leviathan (Leviathan, #1) by Scott Westerfeld
The Girl in the Steel Corset (Steampunk Chronicles, #1) by Kady Cross

The Girl in the Steel Corset (Steampunk Chronicles, #1) by Kady Cross

How about Incarceron?

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

What is your vote?

message 22: by ★ℕłℂØℓҾ★ (Nix), snowflakes and eyelashes (new)

★ℕłℂØℓҾ★ (Nix) (ladyknightnix) | 5517 comments Sounds good! I went ahead and checked out both our finalist choices from my library's ebranch so I'm already set to go for Nov 1st :)

I really was ready for either one! I'm planning on reading both of them, but we can do Incarceron for this challenge though. If you want we can buddy read Girl in the Steel Corset later if you have the time!
