I will give some grudging credit to whoever the execs are which are greenlighting this idea...as far as the fact that someone's at least still interested in classic mystery enough to want to promote it. Its better than them throwing money at another superhero movie.
Nevertheless. There's a lot of great pulp authors who's works have yet to see widespread recognition through a film adaptation. How about some Carter Brown? How about re-doing the Matt Helm films with serious treatments? How about Don Pendleton?

Thank you for the heads up!

Another interesting movie! Thank you for posting this link.

From a gritty murder mystery to a very grim fairy tale, the blood flows like wine in these creepy movies from 2015's Cannes Film Festival.

He recommends great crime films. Really excited that Ellroy is writing a remake of the classic film Laura (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0037008/?...)
