I have a completed novel that needs fresh eyes after a major rewrite. It's down to about 72K, and I would love to get feedback from anyone willing to give it a go.
Blurb for The Grave Tender
At ten years old, Bailey Dixon's life was irrevocably altered. Since those tragic weeks, Bailey's tried to bury her past, but old bones have a way of rising.
Grown now, with children of her own, Bailey can't hide any longer.
Haunted by a boy who never made it home, a damaged woman who sings in moonlight and dances in flame, and the strange, scarred recluse who watches it all from the shadow of the pines, the time has come for Bailey to answer for her sins.
They say the truth will set you free, but sometimes it extracts a terrible price along the way.
Is that a price Bailey's willing to pay?
I'm looking for general impressions, any holes or places that feel light, or things that just don't seem to work.
And I'm more than happy to swap with anyone who's looking for the same. I read it all, though I'm not well versed in Christian. Not that I wouldn't give it a try, just a heads up.
Flagging a post will send it to the Goodreads Customer Care team for review.
