As promised, I've read 3 chapters today, lol, okay I've read 4 :) It was really hard to stop at that but with other reads in progress I had to restrain myself from going on!
As ususal, I got goosebumps while reading the blurb at the book jacket (reading it in paperback somehow made it more spooky!) I was so excited when I started to read the first chapter that it was I wonder that I wasn't jumping around!
Louis seems a bit off-beat so far but I'm sure that it'll change by the next couple of chapters. I'm liking the plot and I really can't wait to read the next 4 chapters tomorrow!

Yea, it's really having that effect.
Take your own sweet time dear!
I'll be fun discussing this one... looking forward to a lot of spooky discussions ;)

Yes I think I will focus more on this book also. Mostly becuase it's so easy to get into the story and the chapters aren't that long and everytime I read I just think "one more chapter"....;)

I've just started chapter 10 and I'm already totally into it :)
When Jud took them all to 'where the path leads', I was feeling 'why the heck will someone want their children anywhere near the sematary.' That's really sick, I agree with Rachel!
I just hope that nothing happens to either Ellie or Gage (I hate what happened in Cujo!)

I am at the beginning of chapter 10, but today I'haven't read my daily dose.

Yes, it's a strange place to bring the children, to say nothing of fact that the children take care of the path and the graveyard. You begin to feel something that lurks in the dark, a sensation or an ancestral fear, but it could be a good material in the hands of a writer.

Yea, indeed it is! King has really done a fab job in capturing all the dark and twisted emotions in the book!

Yesterday I read till chapter 18 and trust me guys it was really hard for me to sleep! The chapter where Louis hears Victor Pascow say those stupid stuff made me feel weird!
And then when he visits Louis and takes him to the sematary, well guys... I really really felt got the 'chills'.... I know the stuff is not scary but, as ususal, everything just makes me feel kinda 'weird'... somethong like this...

Is it just me or did you feel the same???

Yes, weird it is the right word, also because in a situation like that, after so many books, I had a little suspicious of what could happen. Yesterday evening I finished the chapter 18, we'll see this evening.

I'm having a bad feeling about what's going to come next! I hope it's not the children or for that matter church!

I'ven seen the movie so I know what to expect, but that doesn't help much...it's still chilling to read the story and now I'm reading chapter 36 and trust me the story just keep getting worse...

Ahhhhh! That. Is. So. TRUE!
Like Louis, even I can feel my skin start to crawl!
This book keeps on getting creepier... I'm scared to read further! It's my bedtime now and I'll just get the hell out of my study and crawl inside the covers!
I'm gonna read further in the protective warmth of the daylight!
I'm really freaking out... something like this:

Hey guys, Stephen King doesn't write bedtime stories.
Is it not for that chill under our skin that we read his stories? A sensation that grow page after page? I dont know if there we'll be an happy ending, but the journey it seem wonderful!

HAhah! yea!
And I'm quite sure that this one is not going to have a happy ending, though I hope it does!

OMG... Gage is dead! That's exactly one can expect from King! To kill an innocent lil child! I hate this :(

Hats off you guys! You've done it... but sadly I haven't yet!
I was so devastated by Gage's death than I was in a daze for a day or two. Finally I'm making myself read the rest of the book and now suddenly Ellie dreaming of Pascow and indicating that Gage might harm Louis! OMG... this is like the best twist that could have been! Yes, Heena this is a great part. All elements seem to converge there and that's not all, but you'll see. Yes the dead of Gage is sad, but the main protagonist in this book is the evil and the influence it has on humans.
A great book for this first reading!

It was really hard to go through when Louis started planning to resurrect Gage

I am really sorry! (/O_O)/ Please don't hit me for my ignorance!

No Worries! Like I said, I don't think it will detract from me enjoying the story. I watched Gone Girl when I knew the first twist and it didn't bother me. Thanks for the apologies Titas. And I would never hit someone!

OMG... yea... that was the hardest part! I'm stilling chilled to the bone at how stuff turned out... I really never expected such a gruesome ending (not even from King!)

Marigold, I'm really sorry that we guys got carried away and disclosed one of the most important happenings... but trust me, there is are hell lot of surprises in the last 100 or so pages than rest of the book!
I really think that I'm badly shaken by the way things turned out in the last few pages!
Be ready for some real inhumanity by the most unexpected character!
I hope you have a great time reading it and a of chills as well! ;)

Yea, it's true! As always, this one too starts off slow but from now on you won't be disappointed. The book will give you what it promises, the horror, till the last page!
