Princila Murrell (priz) | 5 comments Hi,

I finally listed my middle grade novel on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OT1HQF8

I've read the pros and cons about paid reviews and would like to also have your opinion about this topic. I also found some really marvelous stuff on Joana Penn's blog: http://www.thecreativepenn.com/
She has got lots of resources for self-pub authors, including the mistakes that we commonly make and how to avoid them.

Cheers!
Princila

Hey,
Congrats on publishing your book.

Funny thing I've also been thinking about the whole paid reviews. Personally I don't see anything wrong with them, if they help your book gain customers then its alright. That's my view on the whole paid reviews.

And thanks for the blog its been helpful.

Saul Dobney | 1 comments I'm caught in two minds too. I'd prefer to know what readers really think (there's an element of 'do-you-get-it' to my story The Atheist's Messiah). But doing some background research, perhaps not surprising there seems to be a lot of review-stuffing and gaming going on. As a new author, I guess you have to play to get on the board.
