SOLVED. YA/ Scifi book about a girl who lives in a desert [s]

Hey. I'm looking for a book about a girl who lives in a desert or something like that and she has to go through a ceremony and something happens. She has to leave to regain her honor and defeat a bad guy. I'm can't really remember much. I remember I got it from the recent books at the library 2 years ago
