This author can describe what is difficult or not obvious in the book by poking around with different clues and explaining some words that we might not be familiar or sometimes trying to understand.

I dont think Nolen has a passage that demonstrates her ability to notice and and understand things that are difficult or not obvious. This book being nonfiction, she doesn't have to read between the lines anywhere, and there aren't many places where she really could.
