Kenna smiled and nodded "then I'll get showered and do something with this rats nest of mine and we'll be ready for the wedding. Will you need help getting ready you were the best help when it was my wedding."Mai felt her heart ache terribly and she looked at him shocked "I...Jace I don't want you to leave, things aren't even serious with Pablo we've been on one date..." She said softly her eyes brimming with tears she quickly hid them by going to the bedroom and softly closing the door.
Mira worked softer and slower to make sure the lines were perfect and straight, for such a simple tattoo it sure was complicated. She dabbed it with the rag and then outlined the heart but left it open so they could color in blue or pink when they found out the sex.
Salvadore slowly approached her, she hadn't changed a bit and her beauty was still as striking "Rachelle..." He said softly wanting to pull her in his arms and kiss her and hold her close revel in their live but she was a married woman.
Laila nodded in agreement, pulling out waters and some cheese and crackers for them. "I most definitely need the help." She agreed, smiling a little in embarrassment. "It's my wedding after all." She was nervous, mostly because this was such a big event, and she didn't want it to go poorly. Jace swallowed, his back still turned to her. Pablo and she had connected, he had seen that much. It was time for him to move on, and find his own place to live, allow her to have her love, and later a family by herself. "Not right now… necessarily. But it will have to happen soon. I can't live with you and Pablo." he said softly, realizing that the reason there was no answer, was because she had left the room. Had he made her angry?
Antony kept still, his eyes closed. He was used to the pain of tats, by now, and this particular placement wasn't that bad. "Looks good love…" He whispered, when she finished the line. "All done?" he asked hopefully.
Rachelle shook her head slowly, not believing her eyes. He was like a dream from some bygone age. "You're… You're here…" She said, her eyes filling with tears. She was overcome by an empty sort of ache, a fearful one, the same one she had felt when he left. "You're alive… How did you… How are you….How even…?"
Kenna smiled "let me get changed first and then is love to help you darling. Looks like Luke and Chris set up the aisle outside and the flowers the food is set out..,all we need to do is get the bride ready!"Mai was crying in her room, her heart still belonged to him and he didn't even know it. She realized she had to make a decision be single all her life in love with her room mate or have a man that cares deeply for her that maybe she could one day lone...maybe.
Mira nodded and turned off the machine getting it wrapped up "did good on this one darling, be careful you might end up with more tattoos then me!" She teased but was partially serious, he was becoming addicted as she was.
Salvadore cupped her face and kissed her tenderly "was found innocent...this charming young son of law got me out and found me a home near by...im sorry to hear about your husband. If I didn't think I'd be locked up again I would hurt him deeply...no one hurts my Rachelle..."
Laila smiled softly, but she was nervous. "Alright." She said, happy that Luke and Chris were getting along and could work together on something like that. "I'll meet you in my room after you've changed." She suggested, walking up to her bedroom where she pulled out the dress she was going to wear. Jace waited for a while, expecting her to come out and yell at him or something. But as time passed, he grew worried. He stood and went to her door, knocking on it softly. "Mai? Are you alright?" Had he said something wrong?
Antony chuckled then, shaking his head. "Doubt it." He said, kissing her cheek as he flexed his hand and then got the stencil set up on her arm. "You ready for yours?"
Rachelle found herself leaning into him, regardless of all the walls she had put up after he had gone. He was still just as charming as he was when she lost him. "You don't know what it was like living without you all those years, raising a girl… We both missed you dearly." She whispered, her voice breaking.
Kenna went and for changed in a flowing yellow chiffon with little purple flowers and tan flats. She knocked on her door and smiled "Laila honey you ready?" She opened it and gasped at the beautiful dress "oh honey you are a vision!"Mai looked up from her pillow and quickly wiped her nose it was too late to conceal the tears. She opened the door and bit her lip "just dealing with some things Jace...please don't go..."
Mira nodded laying her arm flat and smiling "you are going to want to shrink that stencil my arm is far more skinny then yours." She pecked his cheek nuzzling him "want to get married?" She asked suddenly not knowing where that came from.
Salvadore sighed "I missed you more...you know how much I love and care for you, I had to kill him to protect Ashley...I did it all for you..."
Laila looked up as Kenna came in and she smiled lightly. "Says the angel who seriously pulls off that dress better than I did." She said, smiling. "Can you help me with the veil?" She held up the glossy thing.Jace was shocked to see her in tears. Had he hurt her that much? He didn't even know what he said. He thought she'd jump at the possibility of moving in with Pablo. He immediately wrapped his arms around her, concern on his features. "What's wrong?" He asked softly. "Did I say something wrong?"
Antony nodded, taking the stencil to the copy table. "Right." He agreed, coming back with a smaller version. "This is going to be harder to do…" he lay the stencil on her wrist and then stared at her, surprised. "Yes. Of course. Where did that come from?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
Rachelle hugged him then, tears escaping from her eyes as she tucked her head on his shoulder. "They said I should remarry. They said I would never see you again… I'm so sorry." She whispered.
Kenna nodded and draped it over her hair adjusting it and curling her hair so it laid prettily "I feel like fat bumblebee but thank you..." She smiled a dusting her necklace and the sleeves "you look beautiful...im going to cry Laila!"Mai shook her head starting to cry again as he held her "no...no just...things I have to deal with..." She buried her face in his chest and just cried whispering that she loved him but hopefully he couldn't understand it.
Mira bit her lip and shrugged a shoulder "I want to get married, we are having a kid and I think the baby should have married parents is all. Plus I love you and that's the in thing to do right?" She teased but was smiling.
Salvadore nodded "I know...I know...I forgive you and understand...I didn't think I was leaving either...but this amazing young man cleared me, I get money and a repeal...like it never happened..."
Laila stood still as Kenna fixed up her veil and her hair and she smiled softly, looking in the mirror. "And as always, you are a miracle worker." she smiled at her. "So… do I just go down there? And walk down? Or do you walk first? How is this going to go? I've never been married before…" She smiled. Jace ran his fingers gently through her hair, trying to comfort her. He still couldn't understand why she was crying. "Hey… it's going to be ok…" he whispered. "Why don't I make you some hot chocolate, and you can tell me about it?" He suggested.
Antony chucked, shaking his head. He tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and nodded. "I think that getting married is a great idea." he assured her. "But for now… let's finish that tattoo." he winked at her and lay the stencil down, starting to work. "Where would you want to get married?"
Rachelle smiled over at Malibu then. "Thank you. I'm forever in your debt."
She pulled back and wiped her eyes hastily, trying to be more presentable. "But this is no way to greet you, give me a moment to fix up, and I'll make you some tea." she suggested hurriedly.
Kenna smiled "I'll walk first while the music plays and then you'll follow after honey. Chris will be at the end of the alter with Luke." She flowed out her train and walked down to the garden smiling at Parker "throw the flowers honey."Mai looked up and swallowed "it's hard to explain...and I don't think you'll like it very much Jace..." She admitted and sighed brushing her hair back and drying her tears.
Mira smiled and watched him tattoo and she didn't feel any of it "we could go to that bar that was turned into more of a chapel. I love that place and it fits our style."
Salvadore pulled her back and kissed her lips softly "Rachelle...I just want to be with you...ok? I'll do whatever it takes to take care of you and love you."
Laila nodded, chewing her lip as she stood inside the porch doors, waiting for her turn to walk down the isle. "Alright." She watched as Parker beamed and tossed the flowers, walking up to stand a little way away from Chris. Laila swallowed, waiting until Kenna walked down before she stepped out of the doors, holding her flowers, and started the walk down the aisle. Jace's forehead crinkled up. "Not like it?" he repeated softly, wanting to know now. He went and boiled water for them, getting them each a mug of hot chocolate, before sitting down with her on the couch. "You know you can tell me anything…"
Antony bandaged up her wrist when it was done and he nodded. "Sure, that sounds like a good place. I'll talk to the owner, and see if they can arrange a time for us." he suggested. "Small wedding then?"
Rachelle melted against him, shaking her head. "You were always too good for me, Salvadore." She whispered, hugging him. "But I was serious about that tea. Unless you'd rather whiskey?" She smiled softly.
Chris beamed as he saw his beautiful bride, his heart started palpitations and his stomavh butterflies as he took her hand pulling her to him and smiling as the ceremony commensed he kissed her deeply and pushed her hair back "I love you..."Mai swallowed the warm beverage and sighed "Ive fallen in love with you...and I know how you feel about dating and relationships...Pablo is wonderful and I care for him but my heart is yours and hearing you want to leave broke me Jace...I'd rather be single all my life and have you as a room mate then losing you for Pablo..."
Mira nodded "just close friends and family. That's it..." She sniked leaning over to kiss him "I love you..."
Salvadore chuckled "tea is fine...come Ashley let us go have tea." Malibu smiled at Ashkey "I need to do some errands anyways."
Laila's nerves dropped away when Chris smiled at her and she blushed shyly, amazed at how far they had come, and everything they had been through. She waited as the ceremony finished, and then closed her eyes, savouring the kiss. "And I love you…" She smiled then, looking up at him. "Husband."Jace was in mid sip when she started speaking and he nearly choked on his drink. He slowly lowered the mug to the coffee table, not sure if he should even risk speaking. Now that she said it, he wondered if that strange feeling he got around her was love. If that was love… then maybe it wasn't so bad after all. Without saying anything, he moved closer and brushed his lips against hers, pulling away and watching her face hesitantly, hoping he hadn't done something wrong.
Antony nodded in agreement, glad she thought that was a good idea as well. "Sounds good." he said, then he smiled. "Love you too, hon." He wrapped his hands up in her hair and kissed her deeply. "Don't ever forget it."
Rachelle scurried into the kitchen to prepare it, and Ashley smiled, totally open to having tea for the second time that day. She kissed Malibu's cheek. "Don't be gone long, love. I want to show you the grounds when you get back." she insisted, turning to go help her mother in the kitchen.
Chris smiled and nudged his nose against hers and picked up Parker and hugged her close. They were a complete family at last and he couldn't be happier. Kenna smiled and hugged Laila and Luke "there's some cake on the counter. It's small but we can't have a wedding without cake!"While Pablo was in Naples his ex-girlfriend Michelle was there and she flushed shly when he approached her "how are you?..." She asked in Spanish since they were both from Spain.
Mai catessed his face with the back of her hand "I don't want you to try for my sake Jace...not dating is what you believe and this is why I didn't want to tell you..."
Mira smiled brightly "how on earth could I forget..." She kissed him back and smiled when she heard the bell "another customer...clean this up while I take care of them ok?"
Laila looped her arm through Chris's. "Cake sounds wonderful!" She said, walking in with them. It was so lovely to be with her friends and family. Parker just thought this was all lovely fun, and she bounced up an down at the mention of cake. "Cake! Cake!"Luke wrapped an arm around Kenna's shoulders. "Well… we can't deny the kid cake!"
Pablo looked up as Michelle spoke. He smiled politely, even though he didn't really feel like it. She had dumped him, and still hurt him. "I'm alright. How is Riordi?" He asked, wondering how her new boyfriend was.
Jace looked at her, wondering why his message had not been clear enough. He hadn't just done that for her… He leaned down again, kissing her a little harder. He had been hesitant at first, but this felt so natural. Then he pulled away. "I wasn't just trying for your sake." he said softly, standing. He picked up their mugs and brought them into the kitchen to start washing them.
Antony nodded, cleaning up the inks and turning off the machine again. He put away her stencil and cleared the work area. "Go get em, love."
Kenna laughed lightly rubbing her belly "well maybe a piece won't hurt...not like I'm on a diet or anything." She cut a piece for Parker and handed it to the excited little girl in the fluffy tulle dress "you look like a princess."Michelle bit her lip "we broke up...because I still love you and he didn't want to play...second fiddle...Baby...Im sorry I would give anything to take back what I said...but we can't just ignore 13 years..."
Mai went up and followed him pulling him to her and kissing him back softly but still forcefully wrapping her arms around his neck and just holding onto him "stop walking away..."
Mira smiled at the girl "what we're you thinking of getting?"
Laila smiled brightly, cutting a small piece which she gave to Parker. Parker just beamed at Kenna, her mouth full of cake so she couldn't answer. Laila smiled, cutting a piece for Kenna and holding it out. Pablo was slightly stunned by the news. She had broken up with her boyfriend to get back with him again? Like that was a likely tale. More likely that he had dumped her, and now he was second best. He huffed slowly, aching. He wanted her love, he really did. But she had hurt him, and he was still scarred from that. "I'm sorry, Michelle. We tried this once before… and it didn't work out." he said softly.
Jace's eyes widened when she pulled him against her, but he melted into her kiss, closing his eyes. He kissed her back for a second before pulling away and looking down into her eyes. "Can't promise anything." then he smiled. "So what does this make us?"
The girl looked to be about eighteen, and she was clearly nervous. "I… I was hoping to get a compass rose between my shoulders." She said honestly. "But… But I don't know if I have the pain tolerance for that…"
Chris dabbed some frosting on his finger and smeared it on Laila's face "I've been waiting forever to do that!" He chuckled and licked off his finger "Mmm buttercream!" Kenna laughed and fed Luke some cake nuzzling her nose against his.Michelle swallowed "ask him Pablo, he will say the same story because it is the truth. While making love I said your name! I don't know what proof you want but I'm not giving up...I love you and I wont let any other woman have you." She said seriously and kissed him.
Mai smiled up at him biting her lip as she leaned close to him "I...I don't know...but I know I'm not single anymore...im just yours." She promised resting on his shoulder "but what about being against love..."
Mira smiled sympathetically "it's a tough spot im not going to lie...but I think you can handle it, I'll be gentle but after the first few minutes you don't even notice it anymore. And it's so worth it when you see it finished." She said honestly and started to sketch it out "what's the significance of this tattoo?"
Laila gasped in shock and indignation. "Oh! You mister…" She swiped up some more with her hand. "Are going to get it!" She ran after him with the frosting, grinning. Luke ate the cake and smiled, leaning his head against hers. "So sweet, love. But not nearly as sweet as you are." He whispered.
Pablo was hesitant to believe her, and yet she seemed so sincere when she was telling the story. And she seemed to be firm on it. And then she kissed him and he couldn't help but enjoy it. He loved her after all. But he forced himself to pull away slightly after a second. He was breathless, and his face was scrunched up in confusion. "Michelle… I-I…"
Jace wrapped his arms around her and held her close to him. It felt so natural to be with her like this. "I… I don't know…" he said honestly. "I'm not sure how I feel about it anymore, or if I ever even really knew what it was…" He admitted.
She nodded slowly, weighing her options. She really wanted the tattoo, but… well, she was nervous at the same time. At least if it wasn't as bad after a few minutes, then maybe she could last though it all. "I'm a traveller, I want to see the world." She said honestly, shrugging. "I've always had the spirit for adventure, and I wanted something to symbolize that."
Chris laughed and pulled her close as they both got covered in frosting and licked it off "you are silly my adorable wife!" She laughed and tickled her and snuggled her neck.Kenna smiled "we better get going if we want to go to the caves before dark..."
Michelle put a finger to his lips and shook her head "hush...im staying at the Rio grande hotel...5B. Think about things I'll be ready for you if you decide to come...you won't be disappointed..."
Mai leaned her forehead against his "I think you love me..." She said honestly and kissed his lips again feeling more comfortable with him then she did with Pablo. It felt natural and right.
Mira smiled and helped her out of her shirt as she worked on the stencil "I love that! I've traveled all around the world as well but I just have a tattoo for everyone of my favorite places...could have saved some skin doing it this way." She teased trying to help the girl be at ease.
Laila giggled and helped clean his face up, shaking her head. "I'm the silly one now?" She raised an eyebrow, but she wrapped her arms around him, tucking her head against his for a moment before kissing his cheek. "Thanks for a wonderful wedding…"Luke nodded in agreement. "Off to the caves we go!" He agreed, glancing at their friends. He smirked. "I doubt they'll miss us anyways…" he shook his head.
Pablo huffed out slowly. "Well you sure make it terribly hard for me to say no…" he muttered under his breath, but he just nodded, deciding he at least owed her to think it over, and find out where he stood. "Alright. I'll take some time to think on it."
Jace chuckled then, releasing her. "Do you now?" He raised an eyebrow, shaking his head. "You'll have to call Pablo and let him know then. Poor man. You're going to break his heart…" He said, not really that sad about it. He knew his friend was tough, and could get over it. It was just one date, after all.
She was cold, and more nervous at first, without her shirt, but as Mira worked on drawing, and talked with her, she felt herself start to relax and grow more comfortable. "All your tattoos look amazing." She said immediately, admiring what she could see of her arms. "Must have taken a lot of work…"
Kenna watched the happy couple and couldn't help but smile at the love in their eyes and how they held eachother secure and protectively. She tugged her friends dress and smiled "hate to interrupt truly but Luke and I have to go...we have some spelunking to do, I'll leave the dress on your bed and we shall talk soon." She promised hugging her close and then hugging Parker slipping her a special stone "this is my favorite stone keep it safe until I see you again alright?"Michelle nodded and kissed him again hesitantly letting go of his hand leaving her glove with him. It was a fancy occasion a ball for his sister's 16th birthday. She headed back to the hotel and got the room ready with candles and red wine hoping that he'd come.
Mai smiled "Ill tell him when he calls tonight...I don't want to spend time making long distant calls..." She admitted and ran her hand through his hair "you really want this right? I don't want to enable you...I just...I just want to be with you whether we are an item or not...felt that way ever since you saved my life..."
Mira smiled showing her the tattoos closely and the ones on her own back that were a map of her travels and experiances "I get a little carried away...but they just represent who I am...and after your first one it's hard not to become addicted." She warned and placed the stencil showing her on the mirror "look good?"
Laila smiled kindly at Kenna, hugging her quickly. "Thanks for stopping by! It was lovely to see you again, and we'll have to visit once the little tyke is born!"She said seriously, kissing her cheek and then returning to hold Chris's hand. Parker beamed when she saw the little stone. It was a shiny treasure in a child's eyes, and she cherished it in her one hand. "Thank you, Auntie Kenna!"
Pablo went home that night and paced back and forth. He was nervous about getting back into a relationship with Michelle. But he didn't want to be like Jace, too scared to see a good thing. Finally, he decided he couldn't lose that much in one night. So he cleaned up and went to the hotel. He found her room and hesitantly knocked on her door.
Jace nodded understanding that much. "Fine by me." He shrugged. He closed his eyes as she ran her hand through his hair, and he nodded slowly. "I think I do… I think I want to be with you. I just can't identify the emotion I feel when I'm around you. It's not anything I feel for anyone else." he admitted softly.
She nodded, looking over her back. "They're amazing…" She said softly, shaking her head. It was crazy really, how much detail was in each one. "I admire that you express who you are." She said honestly, looking back in the mirror then at the stencil on her back. It did look good… it looked really good. But she was starting to get nervous again. "Yeah, it looks amazing…" she breathed.
Kenna smiled and nodded kidding her head and hurrying to go get dressed in her hiking exercise clothes and tugged Luke to their car as they drove up to the caves. They got hooked up to lights and the right tools before heading down into the caves. It was dark but the minerals were so gorgeous and seemed to glow under their own power. She leaned on a stallagmite smiling at her husband "take a picture Luke!" She teased knowing the camera wouldn't work down there.Michelle looked up happily as she opened the door and wrapped her arms around his neck "I knew you would come..." She was wearing a red lace negligee that looked amazing against her dark tanned skin.
Mai smiled lightly "let's diagnose it then shall we? Do you get a fluttering in your stomach? Like butterflies trying to eascape?" She asked raising a brow "when you saw me kissing Pablo did you feel anger or hurt in your chest?"
Mira got an idea how to calm the girl "Antony can you come here?" She smiled as the girl's eyes widened seeing her fisnce "just focus on him and you won't feel a thing I promise." She smiled "but I'm afraid he is off limits..." She teased and got the quietest machine started.
Luke climbed down with Kenna, as always watching very carefully for any signs that she was having trouble, or overtired. He chuckled when she leaned against one of the glowing minerals. "You're too pretty to capture in a picture, love." he teased, picking away at one of the smaller gems, snapping off a tiny piece when no one else was looking. Then he slipped it into her hand. "For you."Pablo's eyes widened at the sight of her and he slowly wrapped his arms around her in return. "And I knew I'd get roped in again and be hopelessly lost…" he mumbled, shaking his head. His heart throbbed with love for her, and he knew there was no way he was backing out of this one.
Jace swallowed, wondering what sorts of things she'd ask about. And then she started describing exactly how he had been feeling, his ears turned pink and he nodded a little. "Yes, and yes." he whispered, looking up at her then. "So what's the verdict, doctor? Is it fatal?"
Antony got up from his work and came over, laughter dancing in his eyes when he realized what she'd wanted him for. When the girl wasn't looking, he shook his head at Mira, and then winked at her. The girl on the chair tensed when she felt something brush against her back, but most of her attention was focused on Antony and the scrawling tattoos on his arm.
Kenna smiled and kissed his cheek, they started to begin to walk when her foot slipped and she fell into a sink hole about 60 feet below them. The rocks rumbled and fell around her, she blocked her stomach but she was pinned down only having her right arm available "Luke!" She screamed scared for their baby.Mai nodded seriously "very, and I'm afraid there is no cure...you are in love with me. The good news is however I am in life with you and I want to pin you down on a bed and make love to you...good prescription yes?"
Mira had Antony squeeze her hand as she begun, she was super gentle and slow and the girl seemed to be taking it well focused on her model worthy future husband. She winked back as she worked on the outline.
Luke shouted in surprise when Kenna slipped and fell down a hole. He immediately scrambled after her, his heart pounding in panic. "Don't move, I'm coming!" he called, slipping down to where she was pinned down beneath some rocks and he immediately started heaving them off of her, praying that she and the baby had not been hurt. Jace huffed out, pretending to be disappointed by this news. Then his lips curved into a smile and he nodded, pecking her cheek. "I think I like that prescription a lot. Thank you doctor." He said, kissing her lips then.
Antony focused on keeping the young girl distracted and calm as Mira worked on the tattoo on her back. If she ever winced, he would squeeze her hand and start up a conversation with her, all the while completely aware of how she was looking at him.
Kenna was crushed, covered in blood and couldn't move anything but her arm, she knew she was in trouble but their baby still had a chance "L-Luke...Luke...listen to me...cut the baby out..." She whispered touching his face slowly.Mai smiled and tugged him into his bedroom, and lay on top smiling down at him as she pushed his hair back and kissed him deeply "does your chest still hurt or is it all better?"
Mira smiled and worked on the color and in about 6 hours it was finished. She sat up and smiled "hey are you ready to see it?" She was amazed the girl didn't tense up or move at all. She couldn't have done it without her sexy fiancé that was for sure.
Luke shook his head seriously. "No way. Crap, Kenna. No!" he said, knowing there was no way he was just going to cut out her stomach then and there. "The baby's too young… and you'll just bleed faster." He grit out as he heaved off the last boulder and scooped her broken body into his arms. "Listen, I'm getting you help, ok? I already called the ambulance." he grit his teeth as he carried his wife heavy with child back up out of the hole, where he started to run through the caves towards the guides who were waiting for their return. Jace followed her back to his bedroom, laying down on his bed. He smiled up at her. "It's starting to feel a little better." he said, pulling her down for another kiss as he laced his fingers through her hair.
She sat up and nodded eagerly, feeling a little stiff and sore, but nothing too bad. She turned to look in the mirror and gasped, her face lighting up. "Oh that's wonderful!" She exclaimed. "Thank you!" Antony chuckled. "You're welcome kid. Come on up front and we can get you bandaged and paid for."
The guide was trying to keep the rest calm, not only did the rocks fall on Kenna they caused a cave in blocking the exit. Kenna's neck was broken as he lifted her up she cried in pain knowing she was losing time "Luke...listen to me...deliver the baby...she still has a chance...please..." She begged going in and out of conciousness.Mai smiled and kissed him again undoing his shirt buttons "good..." She whispered against his lips kicking off her shoes and sitting up off him for a moment to take her tank top off.
Mira nodded leading her up front and bandaging it "keep it dry and out of the sunlight for a couple of days. It'll be sore just take a mild painkiller." She explained ringing her up and helping her out to her car "it was awesone working with you, keep me informed about your travels!"
Luke's heart sank when he saw the cave in at the front of the entrance. It would take a little while for the authorities to clear it out, he realized, and he only hoped it wouldn't be too late by then. He shook his head, denying what he had to do as he pulled out his jackknife, and kissed her briefly, mumbling how sorry he was before he cut her open and delivered the baby. A guide rushed over because of his shouting, and she immediately helped out with cleaning off and wrapping up the baby. It was a tiny thing, and there was little chance it would survive if they didn't get to a hospital soon. Luke just worked on wrapping up Kenna as tightly as he could in any of the places she was bleeding. He got a splint for her spine, and then stood back as other guides helped immobilize her, and make sure she was strapped down so they could save her life. Luke couldn't watch anymore, there was too much blood, so he retreated to another section of the cave and curled up and just sobbed.Jace closed his eyes, breathing deeply. When he opened them, she had taken off her tank top, and he felt that thing stir in him again. Love… she had called it. He reached up and gently pulled her against him, kissing her deeply.
She nodded, thanking Mira profusely. She paid and then left in her car, waving as she drove away. Antony came out and joined Mira then, smiling. "Well that went well!" He said, hugging her shoulders. "And you said I was the one with a soft touch…" He shook his head.
An hour went by and the ambulance workers quickly got everyone that was injured to the hospital and the newborn ICU took care of the small little girl. While Kenna was in surgery they insisted Luke stay with his little daughter "she's very strong and everything has developed so there is no worries there she's just 4 weeks early and needs to gain some weight." The little baby gripped onto Luke's finger tightly while in the incubator. "You saved her life..."Mai curled up next to him afterwards, she never felt such joy and peace until this moment, they were together as it should be and love was real and they were both deep into it. She called Pablo needing to end this before she gave the poor boy hope."
Mira laughed and kissed his cheek "you taught me." She said honestly "couldn't have done it without you and your charming smile...the poor girl was instantly enchanted...no pain when your hormones are fluttering about."
Luke followed along in a few cars behind the ambulance that had his wife and child, and then he stayed with them both until Kenna was taken into surgery. Then he just watched his little girl, his face still streaked with dried tears. "Thank you doctor…" he said softly, praying every second that his wife and little girl would be ok.Pablo picked up the phone after the second ring. He was in the kitchen getting a late night snack, so she hadn't interrupted anything. "Hello? Who is this?" he asked, wondering who else would be up at this hour.
Antony hugged her gently, burying his face into her hair and just breathing in. "I learned from the best…" Then he laughed softly, shaking his head. "I'm manly, what can I say? Didn't chose to be born this way…" He teased, "Though I sure am glad I was."
The doctor nodded then slowly picked up the 2 pound baby and laid her in her father's arms as he got her a bottle "here, you can give her the first feeding. Usually should be a bonding moment with the mother but...I think she can still bond with you..." She looked up at Luke with the same brown eyes and sucked on the bottle obviously hungry.Mai ran a hand through her sweaty hair "it's Mai...we had a date yesterday?" She reminded and glanced over at Jace who was sound asleep looking oh so fine...she ran her hand down his chest before clearing her throat "I'm aftaid I have to cancel any future dates."
Mira slapped his arm lightly but laughed "I'm certainly glad too...but I wish I could tattoo across your forehead my name so girks know you are off limits..."
Luke gingerly held the little girl in his arms, amazed by how small she was, and yet she was awake and responsive. He carefully took the bottle and held it as she sucked on it, a smile finally returning to his features. "Hi baby girl…" he whispered. "I'm your father…"Pablo's eyes widened when he heard Mai's voice come on Crap! How do I explain what I just did tonight?!? He wondered, panicked. He relaxed, however, when she said she had to cancel. And a soft smile lit up his face as he guessed why. "Jace finally figured he wanted some love after all?"
Antony chuckled, shaking his head. "I'm not fond of facial tattoos, hon, sorry." he said, kissing her hair gently. "And besides, I rather like the attention…" he whispered, a playful smile on his face as he teased her.
The nurse smiled watching them and wrapped her up im the blanket so she could stay warm "she honestly is the healthiest preemie...especially from the trauma she went through...do you know what you want to name her?" She asked watching his face and glad to see some happiness.Mai flushed and smiled "yeah...turns out all he needed was some competition to find out..." She giggled "I still would like to be friends though, and you and Jace are close...I wish you the best."
Mira poked his side irritated "not ok." She said seriously and nuzzled him "I think we should close up shop for today "600 dollars first day, we didn't do shabby at all."
Luke nodded slowly, entranced by his little girl. "Faith…" He said softly. "Her name is Faith…" He held her tiny hand as he watched her drink. She was alive, and strong and doing alright, and he couldn't be more thankful for that. Pablo shook his head, smirking as he figured that that was the case. "Yeah, no problem. Glad I could help in someway. And I'd love to still be friends. Keep in touch, ok? It was really nice to meet you."
Antony laughed softly and then shook his head. "I promise my heart only belongs to you, love." he said, closing the door and flipping over the open sign. "Sounds good. I'd like some time off with you anyways."
The doctor came in from Kenna's surgery and sighed "sir, we have some things to discuss...if you would please." The nurse took Faith in her arms feeding her the rest of the bottle as Luke followed the surgeon.Mai smiled "it really was a pleasure to meet you, I hope you find a girl that deserves such an amazing guy as you. Have a good night." She hung up the phone and snuggled back down to Jace kissing his chest "your sisters wedding is tomorrow..."
Mira nodded pulling him back to their apartment and plopping on the couch "Ashley is reuniting with her father who was in jail in Russia, isn't that crazy? I mean they haven't seen eachother in 20 or so years..."
Luke stood immediately, wanting to know how his wife was. He followed the doctor quickly, his heart pounding with nerves. "How is she?" he asked softly, almost not wanting to know. As long as she was alive, he would be happy. Jace mumbled something as she came to lie down with him again, and his arm tightened protectively around her. "Yes… yes it is… do you want to come along?" he asked, kissing her hair.
Antony sat with her on the couch, wrapping an arm around her shoulders as he felt his muscles relax after the long day. "Yes, that is quite something." He agreed. "What a family reunion that would make…." He shook his head.
The doctor sighed "not well...you have some decisions to make, we can keep her on life support and do everything we can to keep her comfortable or you could...take her off of them and let nature run its course...her back and neck are irreparable and her organs are shutting down...im sorry..,"Mai nodded kissing him back "I love Delaney and Brandon...plus this will be our first date...big step for the man who didn't believe in love..." She kissed down his neck "do you want me to come?"
Mira leaned against the chair and relaxed closing her eyes "Mmm baby is going to make me toss the coffee I had this morning." She went to the bathroom and vomitted up everything in her stomach and cleaned up going to get changed into her night shift.
Luke's face fell, and a deep pain welled up in his gut, threatening to boil over. "Keep…. keep her on life supports for now… and please keep her out of pain…" he whispered, clenching and un clenching his hands. "I need to… make a call." He said, walking away down the hall before ringing up Chris. "Listen…" He said immediately. "I know you don't have the job you claim to have, and you and Laila, as well as Malibu have both made miraculous recoveries more than once. So I know there's something going on there, and I need your help. Whatever methods you're using for healthcare, I need them now. Kenna is dying."Jace nodded in agreement. "Yes, they're both nice. I think Brandon was a good choice for her." he said honestly. He chewed his lip for a moment, wondering about their first date. Was he ready for this? "I'd love to have you come along…" He said honestly, kissing her gently.
Antony grimaced, following her to the bathroom. But she had already cleaned up herself. "Man… you're pretty independent, you know that?" He asked, worried about her, and proud at the same time. He watched her change and then walked up and hugged her, kissing her neck. "I love you baby."
Chris swallowed knowing he had to help them, the news of course already had the story going world wide. Baby miraculous survives cave in...but no information about the mother "hold on...im putting you on a three way call with my boss..." He mumbled and added Brandon in on the conversation promptly "Brand we've got a special situation...we need the best medical care the agency can invent or muster up...A baby could end up without her mom." That little end piece should seal the deal since he knew Delaney had some experimental surgery so they could have kids and of course Lilly.Mai cupped his face "a date is no different then us hanging out already Jace, it's a whole lot less intimidating then making love twice." She reminded pushing his hair back "it's just me,,,"
Mira smiled lightly "sorry love, I'll have you help more...but while I still can I fend for myself." She hugged him tightly nuzzling his chest "what would you say if I tell you we should surprise Ashley and Mali on their wedding day and going to England?"
Luke nodded weakly, glad that Chris was considering it and not just saying no immediately. And he wasn't denying anything either. "Thank you." he whispered, listening as this Brandon person picked up. He was so numb from everything that had happened, he didn't even react to the word 'agency'. Brandon started when he heard what Chris had to say, and he shook his head slowly. "Sounds like we need to bring her in for help then. I'm sending a jet. Luke, is it?" He asked.
Luke nodded slowly. "Yeah."
Brandon nodded. "You can come with. Though it might be better to leave your daughter in the nurses care. And Chris, thanks for calling."
Luke nodded. "Thank you. I understand. Thank you!"
Jace nodded slowly, trying to get it into his head that this wasn't all that different than just hanging out. He knew if he thought of it that way, it wouldn't be as intimidating. He smirked then. "True…" He pecked her lips, "Alright. I'm sure I'll be able to survive."
Anton chuckled, shaking his head. "No it's alright. I admire you for it." he promised, hugging her back. She had guts, that was for certain. Then his eyes widened. "England? That would be lovely. Find a spot of tea and all that." he said in a horribly exaggerated accent. "But who's jet can we borrow?"
Chris arrived at the hospital, he found Luke and hugged him "I have to erase every record of her being cared for at this hospital." He handed him a gas mask "put this on or else you'll forget as well." He gassed the nurses and doctors as he erased her records off the computer and had the doctors and nurses from the agency wheel her to the jet. He was shocked when he saw her, it didn't look like the Kenna he knew. He shredded the papers and replaced another patient in her room "you ready?" He asked Luke.Mai laughed lightly pecking his nose "I don't know about you but I'm starving." She wrapped the sheets around her and moved to the kitchen to make a sandwich "want anything?"
Mira smirked "borrow?" She opened the garage showing a dated but still a nice one. It was small but not tiny "get packed and we'll go tomorrow." She said smiling over at his shocked face.
Luke hugged Chris back, glad for at least some familiarity. He nodded simply when he talked about gassing and slipped the mask over his face, watching in shock as the hospital fell into a trance, not noticing them as they loaded Kenna into a huge silver jet. He shook his head, shocked as he pulled the mask off again. "Ready as I'll ever be…" he said softly, following her up the ramp. As long as she didn't leave his sight, he managed to hold onto his sanity pretty well. Jace nodded, watching as she stood, wearing the sheet. "I like that look on you love…" he teased, shaking his head. "Yeah, I'm hungry, but don't feel like you have to make me anything. I'll get up." He insisted, grabbing his shorts from the floor to put them on.
Antony raised an eyebrow as he surveyed the jet. It was sleek, and apparently privately owned. "Just how long have you been hiding this down here?" He asked, his smile playful. "I'll never underestimate you again." he vowed, kissing her.
Chris helped him to a seat as the med bots worked on Kenna, he put a hand on his shoulder "I know you and I have never got along...but you need to trust me on this Luke, im going to do everything I can to help Kenna." He promised and sighed looking at his com and texting Laila "taking the yellow canary to HQ." The yelliw canary was the code name for Kenna, didn't need their identities compromised.Mai rolled her eyes and smiled back at him as she munched on her sandwich and sipped her water "you know...I think I should move my room into yours. Easier to get dressed in the morning."
Mira grinned at him "oh there are many secrets you have yet to find out Tony..." She kissed him back and flicked his nose heading to their bedroom "I can't wait to surprise Ash and Mali!"
Luke nodded slowly, his eyes never leaving Kenna as strange metal robot things worked on her. His hands were white he was gripping his seat so hard. "Thank you." He whispered, just completely frightened at the moment. Laila got the text and immediately sighed in relief as she had been pacing a rut into the floor. "Thank goodness. Stay safe." she sent back immediately.
Jace walked into the kitchen and whipped up a sandwich for himself, smiling at her as he stole a kiss on his way to the fridge to grab a glass of milk. "True say." he mumbled, as he rummaged around. Then he leaned on the counter as he ate. "I wonder what my sister will say when she finds out about you…"
Antony chuckled, watching her walk away. "I can't wait." he said softly, following her to grab some clothes and shove them in a suitcase. "Yeah, it'll be nice to see them again. Pretty big event… getting married and all." He pointed out.
Chris watched his friend stress and showed the scans that were floating above her body showing her x-Rays and vitals "they have already started stabilizing her spine with special rods that are less damaging then metal, she'll be able to walk again..." He explained what they were doing "it's like a puzzle fix her injuries one by one instead of all together...that's when the doctors usually get overwhelmed and give up..." He watched them work and sighed "these bots have saved more lives then any doctor has..." Mai smirked over at him "I think it will be along the lines of I told you so..." She sighed running her hand through her hair "should have visited in the hospital when she had that surgery...it went alright right? I haven't talked to them in awhile..."
Mira nodded "very much so, and her father will be there and her mother is divorcing that other cheater...it's like a really sappy fairy tails where I hope the ending lets me tattoo her!" She protested blowing through her lios as she packed.
Luke nodded slowly, looking over the scans, trying to make sense of them all. But he relaxed tremendously when Chris said she'd be able to walk. That she would even live was a miracle, and he couldn't believe it. "Thank you… for agreeing to help." he said softly, meaning every word. "I don't know what I would have done if…" he shook his head, not wanting to say it. Jace groaned, shaking his head. "I don't need to see that smug look right now…" he kissed her cheek then, smiling. "Yes, her surgery went wonderfully from what I understand. Quick and painless and easy. And last I heard, she couldn't be happier." he said.
Antony laughed, zipping up his suitcase. "Still bent on inking her, huh?" he inquired, setting the bag to the side. "Who knows… one of these days she might cave. She's got everything else pretty good for her right now. Why not a tat?"
Laila smiled, looking over at Kenna. "Oh good. At least you guys got a chance to take a break and clean up. I most definitely have one or two dresses you could pick from." she promised.
Jace didn't look back at her. He knew this was best. She could have a relationship with Pablo and finally be loved. And he would probably stay single forever. But living with her was getting to be a problem. He was a man after all, and seeing her in sweatpants and a t-shirt made it incredibly hard to sit still. "I was thinking." He said, staying on the dating topic. "I should probably get my own place. It could be close by, and you could ask Pablo to move in." He suggested softly, keeping the ache out of his voice.
Antony watched as she sketched, as always, loving to watch her work. She was so creative, he loved it. "Amazing." he approved, rolling up his sleeve. He lay his arm down flat, so she could start working.
Ashley nodded. "I'll be right back." She promised, hopping out. She walked into the house when her mother answered, immediately hugging her. "Mother, my father has come back. He wants to see you."
Rachel's eyes widened. "Salvadore?" She asked softly
